I am a big fan of the series, but it does need to end shortly. Games like FF DQ, Castlevania, Mega Man, Need For Speed, and other games that haven been made since 89 need to be put to an end. There needs to be new IP's and less sequels. Obviously there will always be Mario and Zelda plus all the other first party franchises, but we need to put some of these other games to bed.
maybe due to rising development cost nexgen may only have 1FF game(not including spinoffs)... that seems to be the trend, and correct me if im wrong but up until 10 there were 3FF per generation...ps2 had 2 and ps3 will have 2, perhaps ps4 may have only FF14...? but im pretty sure FF will go past 20
