steep - maybe - but there are those games that are just so worth it....

...No they aren't, unless it's like 59.74 vs. 59.99. Actually, The most expensive game I have ever seen for any system, except for rock Band, that comes with THREE specialized controllers (Guitar, Drums and Mic) is an Xbox game. Halo 3 Legendary edition FTL!!! Special Edition games should be AT MOST 10-15 dollars more, and they usually STILL aren't worth the extra.
I bought PGR4 the day it came out for $46. PS3 is more expensive. Rock Band sells on PS3 for the same price and Halo 3 Legendary is only for people willing to pay $120 for it. Microsoft gives you 3 choices. $60, $70, or $120 for Halo 3 which is not bad just depends on how importantly you view your games. They are certainly not as bad as it use to be back in the days, 80-90$ for Earthworm Jim? Mortal Combat 2 at 85$ and so on..
I'm still a bit cautious when i see 69.99$ mark.
I'll mostly always wait until it's 59.99$ as ten dollars add up, unless a game I'm really waiting for. In that case I'll pay a bit more.
As more games arrive to PS3, the prices will go down to more enjoyable 39$ and 49$.
With time. ^_^
I remember in 2002, new PS2 games here in Canada were close to $90. No way in hell I'm complaining about the price now.

it's true...ps2 games were once very expensive here in canada...no complaints now...of course once a couple years pass and they start doing greatest hits...i won't complain then either ;)

Europians are tru Sony fans! :)
unlike most Americans buying m$ crap just cause its made in their country... thats just being totally retarded :p

And I know Rock Band costs that on the ps3, I was citing it as an exception, and well worth it, since it comes with so many peripherals. And anyone who bought Halo3 Legendary is an idiot. I view games very importantly, thing is with special editions, you don't get more game. Sometimes the stuff in it is cool enough to warrant an extra 10 bucks, but an extra 60-70 so you can have master chief's helmet? My point stands, that the most expensive console game ever, aside from something like Rock Band that comes with multiple specialized controllers, is the Halo3 LE.
