I just saw the xbox360 is getting yet another special edition version of a game, Bio Shock and Halo3. But when i had my xbox360 and bought special editions i never thought the extra dvd was worth owning, especially attatched to an amazing game you would rather play then watch a dvd. PS3 games seem to have the very bare minimum in them, very small instruction books, its all about the game. I'm not saying all are rubish, Silent Hill 2 had good bonuses, what do you guys think, have any special editions been confirmed for ps3?

SE games have never really interested me. i think if they released an extra disc with prototypes of discarded levels that are playable it might be worth it, but concept art, character bios, and interviews should all be unlockable within the game.  thats just my opinion though.

I only like SE games for the games i really like , but most of the stuff should be in the game already anyway. But nevertheless I would always rather buy a SE than a RE

But personally i dont care for SE games or what comes in them, cuz most likely i wont look at the extras and even if i do it will only be once.

Yes I do actually. Im a big fan of Special/Limited edition cases. I think Sony should release all their big first party games with Special Editions.

I like special edition stuff if its worth owning and it's a big game that benefits from it.  Do I want a special edition Virtua Fighter? F*** no.  Did I love God of War II's special features? OH YES.  I think it can really work with some games.

Also, when it comes to multiplatform titles I can't say I'd complain if only the PS3 was getting the special edition *cough* Spider-man 3 *cough* (even if the game isn't in desperate need for one)
