My first impression was along the lines of wtf... Thinking about it a bit more, Ubisoft managed to create a compelling game out of Table Tennis, so you can't really reject the idea of badminton. Either way I dont think there is one planned or in production.

Ey, man. I used to play badminton in P.E. back in high school. I wouldn't mind playing it on a console. Pretty fun sport.

I dont think so and as somebody said it would fit better on the Wii and somebody else mentioned RS Table Tennis, this is a good example, it could work but I wouldnt see it selling many copies.

Well i always found it odd that there can be Tennis games but not a Badminton one i mean if you do it right surely it would sell well?

I am sure there are plenty of Badminton fans that would love this as well, unless it turns out crap obviously.

What are you? 8?

Let the man enjoy what he wants. There are sports games for a reason you know?

Topic started, why don't you mail EA or something with your idea?

He makes a valid point tho.. Considering that video games are a business I cant imagine any game developer wanting to blow money on a game that will sell a few hundred copies to the few hundred badminton playing gamers..

badminton is not that much of a popular game at all. could you imagine the sales it would get? to that extent, yes. it is laughable.

i wouldnt buy a badminton game and neither would you i wager. nor many other people i know. its a sport that cant be taken seriously

"Lame"? He's only 2 posts in and he already sounds generic.

As for the topic.....Not that I know of. No.

I think there will be a market for a game like that if it is made well. It may not be a very popular sport in every country. The US in particular. But it is a very popular sport in Asia, and there are also plenty of players in Europe. There are many millions playing the sport worldwide. But I've never seen a badminton game for any platform. But maybe it will in the future. And about the pace. Tennis is not a faster paced game then badminton when played at a high level. I'm not talking about backyard badminton at a family barbecue.
