Even though I do wipe my PS3 down and vacuum the vents, I am thinking about getting one but I wonder if it will trap heat inside when I am not playing the PS3. Of course I will take the cover off when I play it. Does anybody here use a dust cover that wraps the entire system or the "2 in 1 dust prevent cover pack" on their PS3? I see these 2 in 1 covers selling for as little as $2 and that includes shipping. My slim PS3 is in its vertical stand and on the floor so I would like to stop as much dust as I can.

nope. I don't really do much with mine. I wipe it down every couple of months if there's a massive layer of dust but that's it. Launch 40gb model, with no issues at all.

i put mine in a giant ziploc bag and cut holes for the cords. then i just unzip it when i want to put a disk in. The buttons still work through the plastic obvs so it works well for me.

these are the ones you'd want to buy:

I don't use a dust cover for my PS3 at all, i've never found the need to (i'll just clean my ps3 if it appears to be dusty).

I wouldn't trust these things either, apparently they can attract more dust then before..

I cover my PS3 with a T-shirt or something when im not using it. I just play with it, then turn it off and after 10 mins or so i cover it. Just to reduce the dust that may collect on it.
