Does anyone buy ps3 games just for trophies?

Over the week I purchased three game specifically for the trophies.

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune

Pixeljunk Eden

and Super Stardust HD

I must say it's pretty these trophies are pretty addictive!

Not only are these games great but the trophy system gives the game a bit more replay value.

Can't wait till almost all game are accomanied by trophies.

I do. I only bought PJ Eden because of it, yet they seem really hard there!

I already had Uncharted, but i have just played through it again to get the trophies.

I did buy SSDHD, but that was for the game just as much as the trophies, i only have 10 from there.

I have none from PJ, and i think about 26 from Uncharted :)

I was gonna get World Tour, but RB2 having trophies may sway me in that direction instead. I would have bought Madden if it had trophies. I support games who support Sony.

if you wanted to buy a certain game and you havent yet it just gives you another reason to go buy it. If people just buy the game for trophies then your seriously missing out. I can understand if they sway your jugdement on which system to buy it for then thats fine.

Personally they add something to the game to make it slightly more fun. I hope that some of the fun titles like Assassin's creed, MSG4, Call of Duty 4. Get some. Personally the games that I own like Heavenly Sword, Oblivion, and Timeshift get some. That would make me love those games all over again.

I bought both Stardust HD and Eden to get trophies. However, I would say that I bought Stardust JUST for the trophies (I knew nothing about the game) and it turned out to be an amazing game that i love. Eden I would have bought whether there were trophies in it or not.

Meanwhile, I have no interest in PAIN, even if they do add trophies. Just isn't my kind of game.

I bought SSHD just to see the system in action, but it ended up being good so no worries. It also did, admittedly, swing me towards Pain, which I was on the fence about previously... if nothing else, trophy add-ons prove that they intend on providing support for the game. I bought PJ Eden because I liked the demo and I picked up Uncharted several months ago.

You got lucky, TC... all the games with trophy support are very good games. But don't fall into the pit I've seen a lot of Xboxers fall into where you find yourself buying lame movie tie-ins and shovelware just for easy trophies! People need to stop rewarding people for making crap games!
