Does anyone else see a potential problem with RE5?

Upon seeing the Resident Evil 5 trailer, everything looked beautiful, but I see a problem that could bring out the likes of Al Sharpton in droves......did anyone else notice that you're playing as a white guy slaughtering a bunch of african zombies? I don't know about you, but I honestly think if a big enough issue is made from that point, there could be a problem with RE5 ever being released.

You know, it sucks that this is even an issue. Yes to answer your question. I do thinks that in the near future this will be a huge problem for the RE5 team. However I dont see a problem with them releasing it. Look at GTA. Tons of people were up in arms about it and it just made the game sell better. Its up to us as the player to judge the game on the game. Hopefully people can get over this crazy sterotype crap.realmarine187

being a white male, im not able to make a sound decision on wether or not this is racist. it IS just a video game, people SHOULD be smart enough to see through race.

In all reality, Human is a race. Black, white, brown, yellow, tan...they are all just colors, we are all humans. lets just leave it at that.

I dont know why everyone is comparing africans/african americans to hispanics. They didnt go through over 400 years of slavery. Its a touchy subject and it is a little bit different a caucasian person shooting african zombies considering the whole slavery thing... Exactly. You got the one big problem. True problem is not only Cris beating up black zombies, but also a new desease in Africa. BTW Africa is one of the beautifullest countries in the world.

yes exactly, GET OVER IT! were you ever a slave? what about your parents? How many white people do you that own slaves? Society will NEVER get anywhere if people hold on to crap like this. I'm not saying forget it ever happened because it did and it was a terrible thing but geez so was the holocaust, enslavement of Koreans in japan, the Japanese internment camps during WWII, the persecution of the Irish and Chinese in the 1800's and early 1900's, the Spanish Inquisition, the crusades, the persecution of Jews in the middle east, but at some point we all have to say "we have to move forward". The fact is we need to move forward. Anybody with half a brain that plays this game is going to see a guy shooting zombies, not a white man hunting down black people. The developers of this game are japanese, they don't care what happened almost 150 years ago in another country. They chose Africa because its a place that has been knownto have problems withdiseases and it just so happens that Resident Evil kinda revolves around viral outbreak.
