beta doesnt affect the review/rating at all its a protype released to tweak out problems to make the game a better experience. Just because i beta does poorly doesnt mean the game will as that is the point of a beta. you know? rating/review is based on the final product

I think it carries some weight, not so much consciously, but subliminally. Most of the people who review games are usually in the beta, because they are pretty hard core nerds that enjoy getting into the beta, almost as a status thing... But back to my point, I know when I play a game in beta, that it affects my overall outlook/attitude towards the game weither I want it to or not. Then in turn that subliminally effects my rational while writing about a game. I try to keep an open mind when reviewing something, but I am human, and first impression are crucial.
