Just wondering because I'm thinking about picking it up but not if I can finish it in a week and then never have any reason to play it again.
Thanks.

Well worth 2-3 playthroughs. And much like RE4, it's nice having it on your shelf in case we go through a drought anytime soon.Mau-JusticeTotally agree playing through for the 2nd time now, it's a great game and deserves to be played more than once.
it looks to be a VERY linear game, where you just follow a map. Although it looks really great, i cant believe how many people have bought this game.. looks to have very little replay.
Sounds like an epic rental though

Why's it so hard to believe? Great games from the genre are few and far between.
You're throwing around an opinion on a game you've yet to play. Big surprise.

well every review ive seen says its an extremely linear game,, not neccesarily a bad thing. Im just helping the TC out, some of you people seem to buy a game every other week,, whereas some people like me (and TC) are very picky in what we get, and want to get our moneys worth. I think Dead Space would be a great rental as without any multiplayer, and a very linear design (meaning the 1st 2nd and 3rd playthroughs will be the same),, youre not gonna get your $60 worth, for people like me that like to get A LOT of replay value out of purchases.
I bet you've gotten like 5 games since september,, not everybody does
I am on my first play through. Chapter 8 to be exact. And I'm sure I'm going to play it at least twice if not more.
I have to upgrade all the tools/equipments to max. level just to see the effects on the monsters. If you are a fan of the genre it is a must buy.

Since September I've gotten:
GTA4,
MGS4
Uncharted
RFOM
COD4
Warhawk
Fallout 3
LBP
Ninja Gaiden
AC
Condemned 2
Dead Space
Still on the roster for me to pick up is BioShock, Spider-Man Web of Shadows, and Spyro. Buying alot of games says nothing about a person's opinion or judgement on games. Every game I've purchased has gotten atleast an 8.5 on almost every review; which makes me a picky buyer. Just because someone buys alot of games, doesn't mean they're not picky and it sure as hell doesn't mean they don't know a quality game when they see it.

I have kids and money is not somthing I have a lot of either. Also Dead Space was going to be a rental, but my wife accidently got me this instead of Far Cry 2, so I thought I would give it a quick go and then send it back to the shops. But I did'nt and on the 2nd go and it is like a whole different game playing on a harder setting. this has replay value as the background story alone(as shown through video, audio and text logs which can be found scattered around the game) then you have to upgrade weapons and suit. This game has at least three replays in it at least.[QUOTE="signore"][QUOTE="Mau-Justice"][QUOTE="signore"]it looks to be a VERY linear game, where you just follow a map.
