I prefer a new FF game that will turn out better then 7.
And when you said it has bad sound bad graphics, during that time the graphics were great.
Concerning the graphics, 2D remakes are easy to do, you only have to redraw the sprites. Remaking a 3D game, especially on a next-gen console where standards are high is expensive. First of all, you have to re-modell all the characters with thousands more polygons.
Then of course, Final Fantasy VII used 2D backgrounds which would look bad in new games, so you'd have to create 3D models of the hundreds of locations.
And FFXIII having a spin-off has nothing to do with remakes, FFVII has many spin-offs.

um if i remember correctly theres like 6 different versions of ff13
anyway id rather play a whole new ff than play ff7 again. ive beat that game like 6times already :P
spin-offs are usually referred to as another product that is derived from a main entity. games like Versus and Agito are set in the same universe of FFXIII.
but i guess with this definition, you would first have to view FFXIII as S-E's main product... and not think FFXIII, along with Versus and Agito, are three equal parts of a whole.
but considering how S-E treats the FF main-line of games (FFI-XII) compared to other FF games (FFVII: Dirge of Cerberus)... i would say that it safe to think that thee FFI-XIII line are the main games of the FF brand.
Same universe. How can you call FFvs13 and the FF Agito XIII spinoffs. They are their own game. Also where do you see they said the rest of the FF13s are spinoffs. They are apart of the Fabula Nova Crystallis: Final Fantasy XIII they shouldnt be called spinoffs.

actually final fantasy already has a series.. maybe you heard of them .. final fantasy 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-11-12-13.
just like killzone 1 and 2 same series.. but then there was killzone on the psp i think.. Killzone:liberation I think, note the second name after the "Main" name kinda reminds me of the FF 13 and FF "Verses" 13 .. see how they are different? FF13 isthe main game and it holds the main name. vs. has a secondary name (Like liberation) these are spin offs .. its not a bad thing but thats what it is..
FF13, FFv13, and FF13 agito are all made by differen't people, they take place in the Final Fantasy 13 universe but are in no way directly or indirectly related to each other. To call them a "spin off" doesn't make sense since in order to have a spinoff there has to be a certain element from the original "FF13" a spin off in my opinion would be you have a game like FF7, then you have Dirge of Cerberus, Core Crises, etc etc. Which all use elements from the original being FF7.
So in conclusion I don't believe any of the FF13's are spinoffs but totally different games.

wow, a 3 minute clip doesnt tell me about the game at all, not about the characters, the bosses, the fighting ****or anything else other than the graphics, this has nothing to do with weither the games are spin offs or not.

this is very true, he has said that he doesnt like Ps3 and has no intention of making games for it...
He doesnt like the ps3 because he is on Microsofts payroll... Im interested to see how Lost Odyssey, Cry-On and the untitled MMO Mistwalker are developing all turn out. Blue Dragon seems to be of decent quality, the first JRPG ive had an interest in sincde FFXII.
IM just saying that every one talks like they know all there is to know about the FF 13 games. we are still a full year away from they're realease... alot can change in that time.. and id say what we know about the games is like 1% of what there is to know.Abicus7
We are 2 years away from release actually, I think Square Enix are more interested in the DS, PSP, and the wii right now.

Square Enix have become all about making money in the last few years.Regarding the miniseries argument: FFIX sadly enough was the last real Final fantasy. The reason why there called FINAL Fantasy, is because every iteration, before X, was about the end of that stories world. And were Final. Technically no there not spinoffs being that they are gonna be planned. But the fact remains Final Fantasy, by the meaning of the title, is dead. Long dead and gone. FFX-2 was the birth of something horrible and sick. FFXI isnt even a final fantasy. FFXII is Final Fantasy Tactics world making it a new low in Square's past. and the fact that theyre milking VII for every penny its worth tells me that the company has lost every hope of redeeming itself and giving us a NEW idea thats worthy of our money and expectation. Stop waiting forFFXIII, even b4 Square was sold to this new company called Square Enix, it NEVER met a deadline in order to make the fans hype it up themselves, saving them any kind of commercial expense.
So in short, No there not spinoffs, there expected loss of any value the Square name has earned with SCE by the money grubbing mega corporation named Square Enix.
