Does the ORANGE BOX still suffer from the problems it had at launch?

I found the xbox360 and pc version seem to be rated much higher than the PS3 version, garnering a 96 on metacritic while the ps3 version has a 89. Now, I looked into some reviews and noticed the beef many journalists had with the game were a bad framerate. This is a major negative for me.

So has Valve released any fixes on the game which makes the ps3 version just as good as the other versions(at least in terms of framerate).

No. The PS3 version is playable but Valve never released any of the updates for Team Fortress 2. If you only have a PS3 then the Orange box will be just fine, but if you have a decent PC just get it for that.

Thanks alot for the info guys.:D

HL2 = OW! My eyes! Why does my head hurt so much?! Why do I feel the urge to puke out my organs?

Well, that's how it was on PC anyways:P Couldn't even play it.

I got motion sickness when I played the original Xbox version of Half-Life 2 for some odd reason.

Frame rate has always bothered me. I can play most FPS games. But HL2 made me feel like I was going to die. It was that bad:? Even had to lay down for a couple of hours:lol:

Not at all. I played through HL2 PS3 twice and never got ANY slowdow.. There was the occasional freeze when you transitioned through a load area on vehicles but it only lasted half a second and there are no enemies present in the load areas. episode 1 & 2 also had no issues. I have no idea what GS & other sites are using for review purposes but none of the mentioned issues were present in my copy. the package is worth it for Portal alone. I've been a HL junkie since I played the first one on PS2 and HL2 is every bit as good. Buy it now!!8)

That's strange. I also felt pretty sick after playing Half Life 2 for even half an hour, but that was the PC version at maximum settings. The PS3 version I had no problem with. The only other game that has given me motion sickness like that was Duke Nukem 3D. Very odd indeed, since many other similar PC games didn't make me feel sick at all..

Yep, playing Half-Life 2 and feeling sick afterwards is a very common problem. You can even google it up if you want.

I too am a victim of Half-Life 2 motion sickness. It's strange, because no other games make me sick like it.

Just imagine how much worse it would've been if they released a PS2 version. It probably wouldn't have even looked like Half-Life 2.

I've considered buying the orange box many times but all I really want is Portal! I wish Valve would release it on PSN.

I hadn't had any problems with Orange Box except with Team Fortress 2... I tried for days to get into a game when I first got it and it wouldn't happen. Didn't think TF2 was that great anyway when I played it on Xbox 360, but it's nonetheless irritating that Valve is so arrogant as to release a broken product and then do little to nothing about it.
