Does this bother anyone when gaming?

Well, what bothers me even more are games that automaticly check if there is any new DLC even by entering the main menu (Dantes Inferne, Dragon Age to name to). It's one thing to check for new stuff if I enter some ingame shop, but it's another if the game forces me to wait just to check if there's another way to rip me off

It doesn't really bother me since most PS3 games let you skip all that, and even if you can't it usually only lasts a brief few seconds.

If i'm using my PC, then that's another story. PC games tend to stick you with that sort of thing for long periods of time. I remember FEAR would make you sit there for a minute before the main menu came up.

Indeed.. I simply don't want to see all that crap.. Graphics engine, publisher, developer, all pointless. Just let me play the damn game already.

I like it when you can skip it, if you can't and its long, then yes its annoying. GTA IV is probably the longest that I know

I don't mind them tbh, I usually do something else when booting up. I'm booting up BC2 as I'm writing this message :P
