correct me if im wrong but i dont think that games come with the updates. just go online for a second or use a flash drive to transfer the update onto your ps3.
Most games can play without updates, but i do many games don't play right without them. Example,Virtua fighter 5 will not play in dolby digital sound if you don't have one of the recent updates.Â
