My slim sits just fine. I just tried pushing down on the back left with all four sides on a flat surface and it didn't move. I actually even have the back left hanging off the desk a couple inches and when I push it doesn't move.

My PS3 isn't a slim, but a fiend of mine just bough one a few days a go. I helped him set it up. It lied flat just fine. Rubbers were secure

Maybe this is caused by the way some of the rubber pads are made. My second Slim according to the store were i bought it is from a new shipment receive at the store. I think i will stay with it, i can't even imagine myself deleting all my downloads safe files, everything, then doing everything again.

my slim sits completely flat and level. Maybe it is a problem with the furniture you put your PS3 on?

I just bought my slim yesterday and it sits perfectly flat, but when sony releases the stand for the slim to retail stores, im gonna buy that and stand it up because they run cooler standing up.

Mine only sits on 3 rubber pads and I can kind of rock it alitte bit. Sometimes when the disk is spinning (or maybe it's the HDD) it makes a vibrating noise, but when I lift it up the noise disappers.

That's the problem, i'm sure. My first one sits almost perfectly on a flat surface and this goes down more than the first if you press it at the back left side. I was checking it at the bottom and it seems ok, nothing out of the ordinary and i noticed that the manufacture date of this one is August wile the first was manufacture in June.

as far as i can remember the slim doesn't have air outlets on the sides (i will check it out again when i go home from work), so i do not think that there would be a dramatic change if you use your ps3 slim standing vertically...

See? this is what i'm talking about. Anyway i will have to get a different table or something to check it out. I brought back to the store a Slim cause a different problem and it was the same with that one, i even checked the manufacture date, the firs one was manufacture on June wile the one i now have was manufacture on August, Maysbe i should get the new stand

After doing some research i've came to a conclusion, it may be the furniture and the way the bottom of the PS3 is made may requires a more perfectly flat surface compare to the first one plus older models weighted more. After thinking about it, i think there's nothing wrong with my system, how can there be a problem if the my first Slim was manufacture on June and the new one i have was manufacture on August, two months later. If it had a problem cause by the way they manufacture some of the systems then almost everybody's PS3 will be like mines. I think i should stop worrying about it and continued having fun with it.

Got a new CECH-3000 PS3 and it moves slightly when I push the top-left corner. I tried other tables and it moved. A bit disappointed but it's ok as I'm using a piece of paper and put it under one of the feet and it's not moving.

Can someone inform Sony about this?

Just found out that it's not my PS3. It's my desk. I've tried putting my PS3 on all other tables in my house and it wasn't moving. Flat perfectly. Phew, feeling better now.
