I dont mind letting my Friends who own a PS3 turn on and play it since they know what to look for if something does go wrong. As for my other friends i tell them they need to let me know if they want the disc changed or turn off my console. I usually get something like " It's just a console im not gonna break it" or " you take this way too seriously" from those friends, but i dont care i payed for it i get to make the rules regarding it.
[QUOTE="azzezino"][QUOTE="Dan_Lero"]What in God's name is that thing??? Thats worse than cruelty to animals. No wait 10 times worse. Lol:P Basically there's something inside that's not contecting right and i need to put extreme weight on it to push the disconnected parts together. Atleast it lasted to allow me to back-up my system to and external HDD!You're all free to touch my PS3! Hey, i'll even let ya punch it since it has seen better days:

You're like the MacGyver of gaming, Dan. LoL.
You guys need to lighten up and share. My 8 year old nephews play mine all the time and treat it well, because I asked them to. We learned to share when we were about 2 years old. Grow up.SamuRai_JeDiI think the point of this thread was not the sharing, it is when people touch our PS3s and games and not take care of them.

Not all people do what they are told, especially when they think they know better than you.
I hate it when you have company over my house and when I let them play my PS3, I go downstairs and I find out that my games are in the wrong cases. It grinds my gears so bad then I end up looking like the picture below.
Like seriously, how hard is it to put the damn game in its correct case? Has this or anything similar ever happened to you?
Furi-Kun
yeahhhhhhhhh that ish grinds my gears too. Essentially the only person I let touch my ps3 is my younger bro (21).
I go to my cousin's house frequently to play 360 and Wii. I treat his consoles and games as good as he treats them, and no worse. But he gets mad when I expect him to treat my consoles and games as good as I treat them (more carefully than he treats his own stuff, although he's not reckless or stupid). Anyway, my point (well question, actually) is this:
Should you treat other people's stuff as good THEY treat or as good as YOU would treat it if it was yours? I think you should treat their stuff no worse than they treat. I think that if my friend wants me to treat his stuff more carefully, then he should do the same, and vice-versa.
What do you guys think?
I had one dude over once, ( mom invited him) i didnt wanted to play with him so i went to my room for like 3 hours, the sucker spend all that time with my playstation oh myyy i wass sooo mad!!!Solid_Tango
LMAO:shock:
This picture is a perfect representation of the same anger that I feel. Thats not a coaster! Its a f**King BLU-RAY!!!!!!!!I hate it when you have company over my house and when I let them play my PS3, I go downstairs and I find out that my games are in the wrong cases. Grow up.SamuRai_JeDiLook, I let my little 11 year old brother play because he knows what he's doing (Well, he probably learned from me.) Its a lot worse when someone without a console at all keeps pressing the power button whenever something "doesn't work." Fingerprints on discs are just as bad. I let people play, but not without supervision and only if the game is ready to play. I always navigate menus in advance just in case.
lol i hate that eps when i have my younger cousins come over (like 5-6) i let them play anything and they end up not liking any of my games so they go through i think 50 games and mix all of the games in the wrong case  GOD I HATE LITTLE KIDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! when they are not on my PS3
I don't really want anyone touching my PS 2, Wii, PS 3 or any of my handhelds unless they're one of my fellow gamer friends. For some reason, they're the only ones I feel comfortable around any of my gaming stuff.
I hated loaning PS1 and PS2 games out, and getting them back in rough shape. That really irked me, over 90% of my library the discs are perfect, no scratches, no fingerprints, and to get a game back that when I loaned it out was perfect and it comes back scratched to hell errr. So now I practically make my friends swear a oath that if they scratch it up, they will pay to have it resurfaced. In the case of PS3 games they can't be sent into a disc machine because the polymer applied to the bottom and the fact that they are so thin, they will buy me a brand new copy, not a used one, a new one. Sounds pretty mean huh..
i let my friends use my PS3, but just to play with it, and nothing more, I dont allow them to change the settings, touch the menus, navigate interwebs, nothing. and sometimes I tell them "give me the control for a sec" (hey is my frigging PS3 give me my controller!) and the guys dont want to so I grab the control and take it off his hands then other 3 guys grab the control each one by a different side and everyone pulling I have to yell "YOU ********** IDIOT YOU ARE GONNA BREAK THE DAMM CONTROLLER!!!!" and they drop it. The last time my friends camed to my house, there was this guy who still has the PS2 slim, so he turned on the PS3, and he took the game disc, he was about to put it, when I see him touching the EJECT button, waiting for the disc tray to come out.... nothing happened (I think we all know why) when he pushed the button, the guy pushed it again like 4 times until I asked him "wtf are you doing?" and he answered "I think your PS3 is broken, the disc tray wont come out..."lightleggy
lol the disc tray won't come out
Well i have brothers, and ive taught them well, but its still annoying to come home from school and all i want to do is relax, and my brother who has nothing has beat Infamous and Uncharted 2 before me!!! I hate thtat very much someone beating a game before me.
What i meant by i taught them well, is that the discs are always in the correct case, hold disc on the side etc.
It should be a law, you don't touch another grown man Playstation 3, it just wrong. Go ahead steal my car, take my cursed wallet, take my flat screen tv hey what the heck take my wife, it would do me a big favor, but my PS3 that where I'll turn Chuck Norris on you !!! Have you tasted the hand of life ? With a couple of rounds stuck in you ? Do not worry nobody will ever find your body beyond these four walls...lol

My older brother was visiting me recently and whilst I was out played KZ2. When I came back he'd left the disc in the console, left the controller out and didn't put the ethernet cable back so usually I only let people play if I'm around. About 5 years ago my 4 year old nephew put my PS2 memory card in the sink. Amazingly it still worked afterwards.

Lol nice picture XD
And nah, im the only one who handles my discs and even if a mate of mine does change the disc their cool enough to put it in the right case.

I once had the entire acting class and production class from film school over at my house for a little film project. We used the home theater as the actors' dressing/make up room. It had the big screen there for them to watch whatever during breaks and such. My PS3 was there also. This was in early 2007 so none of my class mates had seen a PS3 in real life (non gamers). I already had a Guest Account on it for anyone who wants a quick try at something so my own game saves wouldn't get screwed over. I made that pretty clear.
Later, as I walk in to grab something or check something out, I see a ciouple of guys playing a game. No big deal. I then hear someone say "yeah we figured how to turn it on and hit X a whole bunch of times".
Of course I wasn't gonna freak out because I'd look like such a dork but I was boiling inside. It was on MY account, since the main account that is highlighted upon starting up the system is my account.
I think it was MotorStorm. You can't really change too much about the game saves but still. I was totally into that game at the time, trying to keep it all clean and perfect.
Ahhh, I remember as a younger fella with the PlayStation, I'd have friends over and we'd be drinking pop and eating chips. How about when someone uses your console with greasy hands? It drives me crazy. Hate having to take soap and water to my controllers to clean off someone's greasy ass popcorn residue.
amsfm6
Now, wouldn't you kind of automatically wipe off your fingers on a napkin or whatever before you touch anything after having greasy or smudgy foods in at your finger tips?
Some of those friends from back then wouldn't. It'd be my turn and I could just feel the slick smoothness of the controller... and knowing it's from chips, it ain't a good thing!!!
