Just think of it as the Sixaxis controller w/rumble. I got mine yesterday and threw Uncharted in for the first time and it really makes the experience great. The controller is slightly heavier but not enough to where it makes a huge difference. Hope that helps..
The DS3 is also made of a thicker/better plastic, - it's not transparent like the regular six-axis. kind of a trivial note, but I like it better. It feels more solid in your hands. The regular six-axis reminds me too much of an old-school non--analog PS1 controller
