I think this looks like a succesfull game. It will mix two great fan bases, Dynasty Warriors and Gundam.

...................

BUT, if you watch the official trailer the gameplay looks a little slow. The Gundam moves his arm to attack slowly, and a lot of the enemies just stand there and do nothing.

Your opinion on this game would be gladly appreciated.

I have a bad feeling about this game, my main problem is that if you see the videos all the enemy mobile suits do is move around thats it it doesnt even seem like there is a battle going on, its like a huge map and a whole bunch of enemies that rarely attack. In the video the guy playing gets hit just about once or twice and it looks like he is using the same attack again and again. Looks like this game might get too repetitive, even though the idea is great I was looking forward to a next gen Dynasty Warriors that would really take the next step.

I have been playing the Japanese Equivalent Gundam Mosuo since April and its actually a lot of fun if you like the Dynasty Warriors style. Generally speaking the point of the game is to defeat a number of enemies in a certain area, sometimes there are timed missions, and other missions simply involve defeating a set number of bosses. The majority of the levels in the first couple of missions are filled with a lot of boring robots that dont really fight back. However, as the game progresses the difficulty increases. The boss fights are always a lot more fun, their sometimes difficult to target and difficult to keep up with making the game a fairly enjoyable one.

The game is around 4-5 hours long, at least going through the official mode. However, the length of the game isnt really an issue as you gain more gundam to choose from and aquire more skills adding to the overall replay value...There is a point to beating the game and you get a nice reward because of it, more gundam.

If your not into the series but like Dynasty Warrariors you might want to give it a try, atleast a rental.

Played the demo on PSN. Game was boring.

I'm betting the final product will get around a mid 5 to 6.

I played the demo, enjoyed it to an extent, it's a little slower paced than Dynasty Warriors. I don't think it's a good $60 purchase, I'd buy it for $30.

Yeah the demo was blah. Was too much running and pressing X. I like my button sensitivity.
