E3: PSP Predictions

With E3 looming next month, it really seems to be crunch time for the PSP. The PSP has now seemed to reach a drought with exclusives. A lot of the major hyped games; Dissdia, Birth By Sleep, & Gran Turismo, have yet to be given release dates so I figured this thread would be perfect for predictions on what you'd like to see announced at E3.

For me, nothing would do my heart good, then Devil May Cry finally being confirmed. It was first announced like three years ago, but since then, no information have been out. Recent news should the Capcom was impressed with DMC4's sells, and want to expand the franchise so this may just be the window for the long awaited PSP title.

Another big PSP title that was said to be in the works, but never confirmed was an Elder Scrolls game. A game like this would be freakin epic. The PSP really lacks lengthy games so it would really benefit from this.

There are also several ports I would be interested in, mainly; Dragon Quest VII, Megaman Legends, & Dark Cloud.

As for new games, I wouldn't mind Sly Cooper and another Jak game to appear on the PSP. Team Ico (the creators of Ico and Shadow of the Colossus) would be another prime choice for a new game.

I was thinking of making a official E3 Predictions thread here beat me to it Lionheart. I think this is really Sony's year and the year of the PSP. I think we will be seeing more major title games at E3.

Square Enix: More info on Dissidia, and Birth by Sleep. A Star Ocean Release for NA would be plesant. Remakes onFinal Fantasy VI, or VIII. These would be great news and sell like hot cake.

On to Capcom: My favorite gaming company I really wish to see some DMC news. After Kobayashi stating he wants to keep doing DMC and wants to expand it. So yes we might see DMC on PSP. I also don't think we may because this statemant was released not to long ago and they may have just started on it. If DMC does do well, we may see Resident Evil.

Konami: My childhood hero company! I do wish to see something Metal Gear Solid related. With the excelent success of MGS: PO I think we may see a sequal, or a port of a new game on the PSP. I also think we should get a new exclusive Castlevania game like what the DS has.

Tecmo: I never, ever thought I'd say this but Ninja Gaiden on the PSP. Itagaki is gone! The maker of Ninja Gaiden: Sigman might be taking over Ninja Gaiden, and I think he will not be like Itagaki and would be releasing Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive onto the Sony consoles. Fans of the series reallywish to see NG on the PSP.

SCEA: Sequal of Patapon! Seriously, that game was extremely good.

Atari: New Dragon Ball Z 3D Fighter game. I knew they could do better with the Shin Budokai series. They coul add so much more characters, keep the Budokai3 engine, more stages, more improved graphics, and more depth. In short, Keep the great Budokai 3 Engine, use the Tenkaichi customizations, arenas. Improve the story, improve the graphics, Use Online mode. Do they not realize how successful a game with these things would be?

Namco/Bandai: Will japanese games be announced? If so I'd like to see a Naruto Shippuden PSP game. The game on PS2 was fun, lengthy,and beautiful. PSP can do it and have more than the orignal. Wait. Does Namco/Bandai release Tekken or Soul Calibur? If so then release a new Tekken game! I doubt this'll happen but still. Soul Calibur has a more likely oppurtunity so Soul Calibur would be nice.

That's all I hope for. God, The PSP has so much potential!

Sega: Sonic something like Sonic Unleashed and the GBA Sonic Advance. It would look beautiful and fun.

I also want to see a lot of manga games! I better see some!

Hokuto no Ken had some on the PSP but they were Pachinko! A 2D Hokuto no Ken would be nice

One Piece 3D Fighter like Bleach Heat The Soul! I would die! With full cutscecnes and voice overs! From the intro arc. to the Thriller bark saga! I think there was a TBA One Pice game for the PSP no?

I also agree on a Sonic for the PSP, as long as it's a classic 2D Sonic. Those games were so awesome, and they could really do something with it on the PSP.jukeyjuke

You could get Sega Genesis Collection. That has the first two Sonic games on it.

I'm expecting an announcement for LocoRoco 2. (since it was hinted at during a previous event) If i'm right, i'll be one happy bunny. :)

I would absolutely love it if Team Ico made a PSP game, and would love it even more if a Shin Megami Tensei: Persona game was announced.

Will Cyanide releases info on the PSP Blood Bowl version? will it be real time :) or turn based :( or will both versions be included on 1 UMD :)

Samurai Shodown Anthology (Samurai Shodown, I, II, III, IV, V, V Special and VI) and The King of Fighters collection: The Orochi Saga release date's would be nice. :)

Any Decent hack & slash rpg's coming to the PSP will make me extremely happy :) :D :P

I have to agree with my friend Blaze, pretty much everything you said I'm hoping for. I must have my favorite series yet to reach PSP finally get the attention it deserves, DMC. I have pretty much waited since 06 when the system came out for them to make the game. And yeah with the huge sales of DMC4 it seems only natural Capcom would do something. RE too, DS already has an RE game, the PSP with better graphics deserves an RE game too. I would love to see a new DBZ game as well, I liked Shin Budokai but I felt they could have done more too. A Sonic game would be amazing, I don't understand why DS gets all the Sonic games, sidescrolling Sonic games are perfect for portable systems! Last thing, I would love to hear an announcement for a MGS PO2, now that MGS4 is done, the team should be able to plan something. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for some good news for the PSP this year, last year was the best year for PSP so far I think this year could be even better!

lol....wow.everyone forgot GTA san andreas stories.now that GTA4 is done san andreas stories (or a new gta game) and bully should be on their way to the psp.

I want:

Devil May Cry, Soul Calibur, maybe a new Tekken with online play and ranking, a game from Team ICO would be nice, a Killzone FPS, a port from Disgaea 2, more info on Dissidia and Kingdom Hearts, another Burnout Game or a good racing game, Naruto Shippuden game, and someday a Resident Evil Game

I have some more. I don't understand why the DS gets the games that would be way better on the PSP. RE looked like crap on the DS. A RE on the PSP would work and the controls could be like RE4. Sonic on the DS was pretty good I must say. Put a 3D Side scroller sonic that plays like the GBA and looks somehwat Sonic Unleashed, we have a hit! Sonic and Rockman were my favorite characters when I was young. Would like to see them now. I want to see more fighters now! Tekken, Soul Calibur, DBZ, Naruto Shippuden, Anime Fighters etc. Little Big Planet PSP, Patapon 2.

Also on MGS. I read somewhere that if MGS PO did extremely good and if the fans wanted more, we will get one. Kojima is the best so yeah I wouldn't be surprised if there was a new MGS for the PSP to come out. After MGS4 done and all.

Gran Turismo! Almost forgot about it. This long awaited game finally has comfirmation! Kazunori said that after GT5 is done we will see a PSP game. He also said he wants some sort of PS3 to PSP connectivity. Might as well put Infrastructure.

If these things do come true, I'd be so happy!

There is a hell of a lot of piracy on the DS. There was a "product" was crazy last year in Japan and had to be pulled off stores and its still selling online. Blazevoir

True enough, but the DS is a big cash cow, so more developers are likely to be drawn to it.

Back on topic though, I really would like to see some new original IPs as well.

Motorstorm PSP! OMG that would be amazing. I did hear that same thing about MGS and yes you're 100% right Kojima is THE MAN! In my opinion he has made the best story and characters I have ever heard seen or played in my life. And yeah RE on DS does look like crap, and RE has always been about system defining graphics, so why drop a title on a much inferior system, graphics wise I mean. And I think Sonic would be a smash on PSP if handled correctly.Roman_Irishman

psp does need lengthy games, i think they should have multi umd games, then you could have the ability to put bigger games like assaassins creed and elder scrolls on it.

I hope to see more Patapon or Locoroco sequels to come out. Tekken or SoulBlade series too.

I wish they will talk about a Kingdom Hearts, DMC or RE game for the PSP.

Other than that I would not be surprised if we heard a Eulogy for such a great system.:cry:

It'll never happen, but I would like to see some Gundam games over here.

Other than that, most of what I hope for has already been said.
