I'm thinking $500 for the "best" model (bigger Hard drive), with maybe a $400 model that has a smaller hard drive and maybe one less feature or something.

Thoughts?

Ya, I believe I read that somewhere. Since the PS3 launched at $600 and $500 with two models, $400 and $500 would be cheaper. Personally, as long as the console impresses me and there are a few interesting launch titles (which there are for me atm), I'll buy it at/near launch as long as it is no more than $500.

$429 USD/CDN would be a good sweet spot.

I am guessing there will be two different versions.  One will be at $400 while the other will be $500.  It would be cool if the cheaper model started at $350.

My guess is $400-$450 US. No matter how spectacular it'll be I just don't think they'll go to half a G after the PS3s price experiment.

I'd say 400-450. At 349 the thing will sell like crazy...I can always hope. Maybe they will have a sort of subsidized version released as well, who knows...

I feel like there will be a barebones model at $350 and a high-end model at $500, which includes a larger HDD, a headset, and a game.

The most interesting question is when it is coming out ... They said it would be a global launch which is awesome.

I hope that it is $430.00 since I have that amount saved on Gamestop/EB gift cards. But there may be 2 SKU's one $430.00 and another $530.00 Sony like last time seems to be having 2 Sku's with Different HDD sizes as with the PS3 20GB and 60GB launch systems in 2006.

Sony has never had a Pack in game or 2 controllers included with a Playstation at launch. The usual 1 controller, the console and all your hook-ups. Sometimes with a Demo disc. In the case of the original Playstation and the Playstation portable. Or even the welcome to Blu-Ray disc with the first PS3's

Sony will have 2 choices of HDD for $430.00 or $530.00

I will say the low end will be 500GB and the higher end HDD 1 TerreByte. Sony must have a good deal on 500GB HDD since they are including them in SuperSlim PS3 which retails for $299.99

$499.99 is my guess for the price of Playstation 4 with 1 controller, All the hook ups. (Sony for the love of God) please include a HDMI cable this time. Even the Wii U includes one with it's Deluxe and Basic sets.

Plus Sony could stick it to Microsoft if the low end PS4 had a 500GB HDD and the Higher End had a 1 TB HDD. Sony will do the usual Black gloss finish and Chrome routine as with the PS3 Phats way back in 2006.

$500.00 is my guess for PS3 launch price. New tech costs and Videogames is an expensive hobby. I would like 2 controllers included with the system, and the HDMI cable at the very least.

Good post. I'll be interested to see what the hard drive sizes at launch are. With the mandatory installs, you would think they have to be larger than the 20 and 60GB the PS3 launched with.

Also, Sony did do a nice job making the PS3 look slick. I rememeber the first time I saw a PS3 and 360 next to each other around the PS3's launch. One of my first thoughts was how much cooler the PS3 looked with the black gloss finished and "Playstation 3" across the top.

<$500, and i'd be surprised if there are two options. sony seems to be learning from a lot of their ps3 launch mistakes and having 2 ps3 options was a mistake

There will be two versions but both version must have a headset. It would be a mistake for only one to have it, don't want the ps3 problem of no one having a mic.

If I had to venture a guess I would say $399.99. Or at least that's what I'm hoping (as opposed to $599.99 like the PS3).
