Rather than whine about it, collect your receipt, the cable, and any packaging you might still have for them and then calmly walk/ride/drive to the Gamestop you purchased them from. Then, taking a deep breath as you try to keep from complaining, explain that they don't seem to fit your system and ask if they have a suitable replacement or if you could get your money back.

Well it just so happens that I work for Gamestop and know for a fact that you can indeed return your cables for your money back or the "correct" cable. Also, you might try reading your receipt which clearly spells out your return rights.

I'm sure your problem with the A/V cable is the same...that, or you're trying to jam it in the wrong hole and/or have it upside down.
