[QUOTE="raven_squad"][QUOTE="Dakushonen"] No offense but your wrong, they have a different line in then the ones I originally owned, so they really don't fit and the only way I can seem the lining up with the machine is if I force it in and that may not work.Dakushonen
I bought my PS3 in 2008. June to be exact, so not even early 08. The PS3 AV cables I've got have been plugged into other PS3's, PS2, and PS1.

Was it a 40GB or a 80GB.

A 40, but that is irrelevant. My friend has an 80 and has used MY AV cables.

Rather than whine about it, collect your receipt, the cable, and any packaging you might still have for them and then calmly walk/ride/drive to the Gamestop you purchased them from. Then, taking a deep breath as you try to keep from complaining, explain that they don't seem to fit your system and ask if they have a suitable replacement or if you could get your money back.

Velric

It doesn't work like that, they will just give me the same ones. They won't even give me the option to get a refund, just store credit.

Well it just so happens that I work for Gamestop and know for a fact that you can indeed return your cables for your money back or the "correct" cable. Also, you might try reading your receipt which clearly spells out your return rights.

I did read it, but I guess I can't say much on that if you work for Gamestop and claim I can get my money back without the store credit thing.

SO your trying to call me a lier because it works for you and not me? make sense considering when stuff doesn't work for me but other people, I'm the one thst wrong. Its this simple, I looked at my damaged A/V cables and I looked at my new ones, they both have the same shaped port, but the thing to line them up into the PS3 is "Different". May I ask you if you put any force when putting these cables into the PS3?

I feel like a idiot, I pushed them in harder liek I did my power cord and it went allt he way in, I had to test my older cables to learn this. I pressed down on some metal things on my old cables and they printed down so I was like, okay if I push my new cables in all the way in harder it will fit. Sorry people

Seriously? You "fixed" the "problem" with your powercord not goining into the strip all the way? Kid...you having wet noodles for arms doesn't constitue a defective power cord.Do yourself a favorand eat your Wheaties, or hang out with Popeye and chow down on some spinach. I'm sure your problem with the A/V cable is the same...that, or you're trying to jam it in the wrong hole and/or have it upside down.

Its just that I like to keep my stuff in good condition and I'm a little OCD with electronics, so I don't put extra stress on stuff I pay for. That's the real reason I could get it in,the original stuff I bought went in just like that, that's why I really didn't get why they wouldn't go in.

Glad to hear you got it straightened out. Just remember for next time, when dozens of people are trying to help you out, its best to at least hear them out rather then insinuate they are attacking you. :)
