End of War... doubts

I just went onto the end of war website and was looking at the trailers and it looks amazing great story although you didnt really get much detail but on one of the trailers it showed how this general sorta guy was moving all his army on this hologram thing and i was thought it was going to be like real time stratergy but now i think its gonna be turn based...to me a big let down.

Your thoughts?

Are you talking about EndWar? The game is indeed an RTS and even supports voice commands so you can look like a total nut shouting orders in front of your TV :D

The hologram thingy is just a cinemtaic trailer; gameplay is nothing like that. Check this gameplay footage demoed by the Fragdolls.

I can't wait for it since its one of the first RTS's that is made for the console first.

Most if not all the RTSs currently on console are adaptations of the PC version.

It seems interesting. I do enjoy RTS time to time, however I do enjoy them on PC simply because of controls. Voice command definitely sounds great, but I'm not sure how will it be incorporated to work well, that one is up to developers and it will pretty much make or break a game.

It's an important feature.

Of course there is a option on PS3 to use Mouse/Keyboard, will it be supported by the Devs? We'll have to wait and see.

Otherwise, they will have to implement a good variation of control that work well with the consoles. It can be done, but it does take a great effort. At this point of time, RTS games are phenomenal on PC - that is of course because of excellent controls.

Again, PS3's K/B support would be a perfect solution, time will tel. 8)
