Etiquette While Playing COD4: Camping

But you should have said it is lame only because you got killed by the camper. The camper wont think it's lame nor will his team mates.

It's Xbox Live, you can't really expect people to be nice.

Ok so here is what happened. I am trying to lvl up the POS G3 for the marksmanship challenge. I was doing this mostly by kinda trying to snipe folks out,

graw 2.. the map headquarters..you walk out
directly you will get shot or any where coming
on frontwards..you try to go around the side
the same thing happebs..so lame..
thats why i love cod4..not even on the same level..
when the servers went down i tried some graw2 and
it failed miserably :|

I agree with that guy that said camping is backing yourself into a corner in some through way/back ally and blowing people away in the back as they run by. Picking a spot to snipe from is not, IMO, camping.

As for people blowing your cover, time to pack up your gun and find a new spot.

All I see are a lot of whiners that lack any kind of nads to get the job done. Everybody wants a handicap, their diaper changed and their hands held. "Whaaaaa boo hoo! I got killed and I don't like it" Got to find any excuse to make yourselves feel better. You people are what give gamers like me a bad name. Unless you're literally glitching and cheating, I don't really care how anybody plays. I just play for fun and if I get killed, I DON'T CARE. Why? CAUSE I GET ON WITH MY LIFE. If I come across someone that's holding down an area, I FIGURE A WAY AROUND IT and kill him. Those who whine lack any kind of skill and do not have what it takes to solve the "problem", PERIOD.

camping is so freaking boring to me. i run around a lot looking for people to kill especially the camperssnipe2004

Same here. I try camping once in a while, and after about ten seconds I get really bored. Some people have the patience to hide somewhere and hope someone will run by, but that person isn't me.

I really don't have a big problem with camping though. Besides, from what I've seen, the team with a bunch of campers is usually the losing team. If there is a good amount of them, I just become the "camper police" and eradicate them.

I found myself a nice little spot overlooking a street on the Strike map ( If your team starts up by A it is the house that you reach by going right while going down the hill then go round back the house and climb up the steps, then overlooking C ) and set up my claymores and was having a nice little time. Picking shots carefully trying not to draw too much attention to meh spot and all.

Everything was going just swimmingly... Then here comes lvl 14 homeslice and his pal lvl 12 homeskillet. They come in the room and just start blasting out all the windows with their AK's or wtf ever they were using. Like completely blowing any type of cover I might have had.

Needless to say I was *mad* pissed and I asked them if they could find someplace else to go cause i was trying to camp out there. Well you can guess their responses " F U man we can be here if we want etc etc etc..."

Now I realize they have just as much right to be there as I do. Even if I was there first and had obviously put a little effort into securing the spot. But MAN it pissed me off. Like, I am aiming out a window and the guy stands RIGHT next to me and aims out the same window...

My question is this. When you guys are in situations like this what do you do ? Do you ask them to leave ? Do you curse @ them ? Do you hang there with them ? Do you abandon your little camp and let them have it ? I really don't wanna be rude to other people in the game but it's just so irritating.

So yeah anyway tell me what you think.

If you stay in one location you are a camper. If you move you are a runner. It is just a game. Since you were killed, you need a different strategy .
