Ever have friends that act like they know more about the PS3 then you do?

I get a good kick out of some of these stories that my friends make up about the PS3 since they are already proven true or false before they finish telling you. My most faveorite one was the "DUDE YOU CAN HACK/MOD YOUR PS3 TO RUN WINDOWS!?!?!" and he goes on about it for about 5-10 mins till I decide to stop them and ask him "How is it considered hacking or modding a PS3 when the option is in the main menu to install another OS and even Sony says the PS3 is basically a high end computer."

So do you guys have any friends as well that say stupid things like this even though they only go by what others say and not personal experience? if so please tell me some of the funny rumors spread about the ps3 since I like a good Lawl.

He says the PS3's online sucks compared to XBL and that the PS3's online has hackers around and you can get virues from playing the PS3 games online...:P He also claims MGS4 is going to the 360...and that all PS3 games suck. Uncharted sucks because it's an action game in the jungle, UT3 on the 360 will be better apparently...When killzone 2 comes out it will suck because the graphics will be outdated... and he says that the 360 costs less even with all the add-ons...

No that's wrong cuz 360 has many good exclusive: gears, halo3, mass effect, bioshock, and some would say dead rising but I didn't like it

LMAO and then I told him 2008 the 360 can't compete and he goes yes it can so I start naming like a bunch of games like LBP etc...and he goes Geow 2...Halo wars...ummm...I have to look on the list and im like wow :lol: he couldn't even name any games that could compete with the PS3's lineup for 08 and then I told him how MGS4 wouldn't come because it's HUGE on BLu-Ray and he's like you're telling me a game like MAss Effect which never ends is smaller than MGS4 and I was like maybe not in that sense but the amount of things going into MGS4 can't be done on the 360 and he's like w/e it's coming my friends cousin told me.

He even admitted that Halo 3 isn't that good and that it's because HAlo 2 took all the glory and I was like wow you're dumb of course Halo 3 isn't that good it's the same crap they fed you with halo 2 with a bit better graphics and some new weapons.

My friend also told me how Sony copied MS because the PS3 controller now has triggers and that the placement of the analog sticks on the PS3 are for handicapped people...then I said okay what about the fact that the 360 controller added "Bumpers" and the PS controller always had that and he goes well see MS is better so they can do that and atleast our controller changed. I was like okay w/e

They say the 360 has a larger library of good games, even though the top games on the 360 are all shooters and there is no variety.

I get friends that laugh at me saying I wasted my money on the ps3. And saying its a failure and I should have bought something else instead. When they know I own every console from the NES up except the Genesis, Saturn, PS1 and virtual boy(if it is even considered a console). Told him he was nothing more then a fanboy for nintendo when there is more to experience then one system. This time around the war isn't really between nintendo, sony and MS I told him the real war is between fanboys like himself and should learn to be so stuck up and ignorant and ACTUALLY ENJOY games instead of pretending you are enjoying them on the only system your willing to buy xP

I've had a few friends (Xbox fanboys) try and tell me that the ps3 doesn't even have a online feature, and that the ps2 can play blu-ray movies and games :DDreamable

Hopefully these friends of yours are under the age of 12 XD if not they should do something called basic research before arguing like I do xP

My friend thought using lots of *technical jargon* would throw me off the rails...

i've owned all three at one point (now just 360 and PS3...wii is good, but its library holds nothing exactly impressive to me) and like...the paranthesis insinutated (damnit...) all three systems are good. stop hating

360 has badass exclusives (and yes theres more than halo, in fact...halos only an average game)

PS3 has badass exclusives too (and most people on this board just already know that)

and the Wii...um has...good exclusives (Mario Galaxy comes to mind...and sadly thats about it for me...although there are other games people like alot so change the good to badass lol)
