I have a 500Gb ext HDD. I split it in two partitions (200gb NTFS for winxp usage and 300gb fat32 for ps3). The problem I have is that my ps3 wont recognise the pictures I have in the PHOTO folder. Also, in the MUSIC folder, I have several folders for each genre (rock hiphop etc) but the ps3 cant recognise all the folders (for some reason the "rock" and "insert artist name here" - folders are not there).

The VIDEO folder however works fine.

Anyone knows how to fix this? I appretiate all the help I can get! ;)

PS3 won't recognize NTFS. So It'll only read from the fat32. Do you have everything on FAT32 partition?

If so, then try this. When viewing the USB HDD under PHOTO or MUSIC, before clicking it, put the cursor over it, hit TRIANGLE and then choose SHOW ALL (or something to that effect). That should do the trick.

that solved the problem with the photos, but not the Music. Yes all files are under the fat32 partition.

Just adding in my 2cents. I know that the PSP has a really restrictive folder system for the MUSIC. It can only handle 1 subfolder for the music so I can't have Genre -> Artist -> Album -> songs. The best I can do is Album -> songs, underneath the MUSIC folder. See if it can see songs in the MUSIC folder. Then try putting songs in deeper subfolders and see where it loses it.

P.S. I don't know why the PSP has this problem. I have a Sony mp3 player that doesn't have this issue.
