I just downloaded a few of the new gameplay movies from a couple days ago and noticed the cars racing against you kind of just go through your car..i have never played any of the F1 games wondering if thats normal and if it is what is the point of that..KurupSoldrI read about that in the GS preview and I didn't like the sounds of that, they said it was for online, and that when collision is only turned on that you would only hit active players and not AI players, which I didn't like. In the demo however, you can smash up every car you want and its quite fun, but you have to turn on damage and stuff, I turn off steering assistance and braking assistance and spin recovery lol, making big old crashes. It's really funny when you make 6 or 7 cars retire. I think I got 10 cars to retire once before my car got totaled.
yeah the vid you saw was a mp race with collisons turned off and i was kinda glad to see it's a probable option...because playing online with collison will be a damaging experience for the most part unless you're playing with friends & AI.
but like someone already said in the demo (under difficulty) you can turn on / set the AI competition, race line, rain and collison...it's going to be a great game.
Well the demo is really fun so I might buy the game this month, but I'm going to rent it first, I hope theres headset support.yeah the vid you saw was a mp race with collisons turned off and i was kinda glad to see it's a probable option...because playing online with collison will be a damaging experience for the most part unless you're playing with friends & AI.

Online it would be better to have damage off. F1 cars are fragile, and you wouldn't want some idiots joining the game and crashing you out. Maybe after time, they could have ranked games and you could trust people at your level.
It is definately good to have the ability to turn crashes off.
