According to friends and other topics about this, the Xbox360 and PC version both play better with better graphics. Not that the PS3 versiobn is bad, it's just not as good as the others. Well, I'd say buy it, if you have no XBox360 ^^
There are glitches in all the versions of the game. Just because the PS3 version is slightly worse doesn't mean it's bad. It's an awesome game regardless.

I swear....Just get it. I DO have a 360 and a PS3. Two of each as a matter of fact. I've got three kids who are gamers also so I need doubles. I got it for the PS3 cause I like the controller better. It plays fine. Same goes for Orange Box in case you "heard" something about that too.

Well, I just saw the PS3 version (friend has one), but I saw ingame pictures from all three versions and those of the PS3 seems to be the worst (not that they're bad, they are just not as good as the others). This is most likely because it was first coded for XBox360/pc and after that ported to the PS3 :S

See? He/she made it through Ep1 AND 2 with only SOME slowdown. Probably before the patch even. Wouldn't have even realized that it was "slowdown" if not for the internet telling him/her. Just play the games. That's what you want to do. No one needs to tell you if YOU like the game or not. RENT if not sure.

Or is this all based on some other peoples opinio? I played the PS3 version and had no problems with bugs. It's just all about the graphics which are slightly worse on the PS3.

Hmmm... played it on PS3 and 360 but didn't notice any changes in visuals. Also played about 25% of the game on PS3 but didn't notice any glitches at all..

Not MUCH of a difference between the two console versions (some contrast differences, and there are less bugs), but PS3 versus PC is like a night and day difference.
You should wait for the Game of the Year Edition of Fallout 3. It comes with all of the DLC already in it. I think it's released sometime in the Fall of '09.

This is true. To be honest, the only real difference I saw between the PC and PS3 version is the colors. The colors are very very dull in the PS3 version compared to the other two. I don't understand why, either. Oblvion looked incredibly vibrant on the PS3 and was actually the superior console version. Anyway, all the crazy glitches are still there on the PC, but they got patches out for all that now. Really, the only trouble you should experience on PS3 is the poor color quality. It still looks good as long as you don't know what you're missing. ;)
Its a great game but the main quest line did glitch on me and I had to skip part of the game because of it...TROD_BING
This never happened to me. If ever something like this occurs on any game on the PS3 you should delete the game data (not save data!) and then let it reinstall. 9/10 times this fixes the glitched spot. Just start from your most recent save before the glitch and enjoy. If this doesn't work then its something that everyone is experiencing and will get patched. But obviously thats not the case here.

I got it on the PS3 and PC, for the DLC. Once I got it on the PC I won't go back to my PS3 version, it looks a hell of a lot better, but my PC is new. My overarching recommendation is this game needs to be played no matter what system it is on. The game doesn't look bad on the PS3, just not quite as good.

Ya unfortunately for me it happened in the sewers right before the end of the game, which isnt fun to start over from. But like I said its a great game bugs or no bugs its worth the money.
DON'T GET IT YET the game of the year edition is coming out in October, maybe they would have fixed up the glitches, it will be cheaper and will have all of the DLC on the CD.

I know I've posted this before, but hey. :P :P Well, like I said the color was the only difference I "saw." I never had them on at the same time to compare. I was only speaking soley in terms of problematic differences like the TC asked. Graphical inferiority is something we're just gonna have live with when it comes to consoles vs PC. The PC version does look great compared to the PS3. I just never had the chance to set them side by side and compare the two. Nice link by the way. ;)
HOw much are the DLC's gunna cost? Cos I already got the ps3 version fallout3

I think it will be $9.99 for the new ones. They should make a special package containing all of the older DLC, but I don't know if they are. Probably not.
