I have recently got a ps3 and i have some money left over from my birthday and i want to buy a game. I really want a FPS but i cant decide which game to get out of Far Cry 2 and Cod 5 when they come out. I have heard that Cod 5 will have an awesome multiplayer, and Far Cry 2 has a cool campaign mode, but i don't know which is better overall. Any advice would be great, thanks.
i have COD4, and when i´ve been noticed that the game would return to the second world war i just thought "they are going to screw COD", but now, i have a diferent opinion, i think COD5 will be a great game, with a great online support!! Now, FC2 is a very good game i think, but i think COD5, will be better, online support is a very important thing in a game, and COD5 will have it great!!! My opinion goes to COD5!!

Far Cry 2 all the way dude.It has a new map editor thing and a very long single player campaign.COD is an awesome game but very small campaing.
I'm getting cod5 cuz i loved 4 and it looks just like it. and they have dogs now instead of helis for 7 kill streaks. I might get far cry 2 but i don't trust ubi in gaming excellent games
world at war is going to be great. i dont no if anyone remembers but Treyarch made united offensive which wasnt a bad game at all. the mp in it was solid and putting that into the cod4 engine is going to be wicked. deff a better pickup than far cry 2

I think you can trust them with FC 2. All you have to do is look at the videos for this game and see how amazing it looks. I think it's one of the few surefire AAA games this year.
Well this should be a very easy one to decide. I hope that since you asked this question you have played previous games in these series? I am pretty sure if you liked COD4 then you will like COD5 because its running on the same engine and from what I have seen the shooting and gameplay looks similar except that is in a different setting with different guns and in a different time period. Besides the mutant powers farcry 2 looks a lot like the original far cry. Far Crys multiplayer wasn't all that great but the story was what made the game. I think if they have better multiplayer in far cry 2 it will give it an advantage over COD5. Its up to you though. Play far cry instincts and the call of duty games if you havn't already, it will make it easier to choose.
