Which Metal Gear game was your absolute favorite...starting from the PS1 classic all the way up to MGS4?? As great as MGS4 was, I still have more fun with MGS3(which as most fans know is a prequel)

I'm a newcomer to MGS franchise , the first one I bought was Metal Gear Solid 4 and man it's awsome so my favourite is MGS4 since it's the only one I've playedKurdish-Gamer
Do yourself a favor, get MGS3(it's really a prequel to MGS1 and MGS2)the graphics are a little dated "BUT" the story and gameplay is still solid.
In this particular order: MGS3 > MGS1 > MGS4 > MGS2
MGS3 is a far superior game than MGS4 in every aspect of the game such as storyline and boss battles.
also, how many of you hated the survival aspect of it. i happen to like the healing screen. it was really unique and brought a little more styled realism to the situation.
, funny you should mention that. I just got through posting how badly I want an even more realistic survival game in the "What game would you make" thread. I loved the survival aspect of MGS3. Needed more depth, but it was very cool.also, how many of you hated the survival aspect of it. i happen to like the healing screen. it was really unique and brought a little more styled realism to the situation.

I loved the survival aspect of the game. Just another reason why MGS3 was my favorite.also, how many of you hated the survival aspect of it. i happen to like the healing screen. it was really unique and brought a little more styled realism to the situation.

the reason they took it out was because people complained about being stuck on a screen for a lot of the game, if you don't want to be stuck on that screen, dont break your damn leg. lol
even though it was a small aspect of the game, it created something in the general style of the game.

haha. yeah, but its obvious it would happen. hayter did a script i guess, but i heard it was turned down or something. it wont ruin the series for me, its too good of a game series to be ruined by becoming a movie.

sounds fake, but who knows. it is a well known series, and kojima would only be up for it if it was good.
mgs 1 was my fav.
but i still havnt played mg1 or 2. imo, it had the best story/ surprises. and was the most revolutionary!
oh and it had the charm that i felt was lost with teh continuation of the series.
i also felt that mgs 2-4 became more about shooting than stealth. yeah, i know you can play stealth in all the games,
but they gave you more opportunties and made it way too easy if you took the gun route.

yeah exactly
Actually, I'm not really sure. I kind of see them all as four pieces to a grand story. But the first MGS game that really got me into this whole thing in the first place was MGS2, so I guess I'll go with that. Gameplay wise, I would say MGS4. I don't really miss the sky camera all that much :P
