F.E.A.R. 2 Demo...Poopy in the pants...*serious thread*

So, i just finished teh Demo of FEAR 2 and OMFG that **** was CREEPY

now i know what you guys are thinking, but seriously, i dont think many people have played this part yet..

The majority of main*sacres* didnt scare me too much casue they were a rad [predictable..but this one part, after taht mini boss before the cinema, when you walk into this basement type thing, and your going to pick up like health..or ammo and you hear this creepy sound and you turn round and this creepy little **** just in your face with a **** up face and titled head looking at you..

Wow...i shat my pants at that part lol, and no its not that part when you look behind and she dissapears in that Power generator place, this is like, inside that cinema thing.

You guys find that spot?

played it for like 5 minutes and quit cuz the flashes every half a second almost gave me a seizureUnknown_Hero3

Well i must say that im dissapointed with the demo.

Framerate issues, R2 button as fire and the thing that it froze alot. so i wont be getting the full game :(

I played the 1st FEAR on the 360 and PS3 so I kinda knew what to expect, but in order to get the full effect, a surround sound system is needed. The audio in FEAR plays a bigger part then the video.That's why when I hear some people say that FEAR didn't have any scary moment, I bet that most aren't playing it threw a good sound systemMarcRecon

i totally agree with you, the first time i played demo i thought, wth ill see if this thing is scary, turned off the lights and i wnet up the volume. and yes, the demo scared me, the background sounds are nice, overalls in the school. then i played the demo again, lights on normal sound, and the demo was a total disappointment, not scary at all

I'm actually disappointed in FEAR2, the "scares" are the same as FEAR and the shooting seems to be at a worse framerate than the original (on PC)-Masterchef-

No, it's different ,although I can't precisely remember where , but everytime alma appeared the screen would go orange , so there was this time the screen went orange and alma didn't appear I was like 'why the screen went orange if she isn't here' and I turned just to make sure (probably the way the game wanted you to feel) and she was there ...OMG that was the most scary moment :O

Yeah , it was the part in the bus!Btw the one before the part where she grabs you was scary too !I find the most scary moments when she is actually a bit far from you , reminds me of 'the ring' .

The PC demo was definitely more enjoyable then the PS3 demo. WAY better frame rate. Of Course I do have an OC'd 8800gtx. Still if they correct the frame rate I might play it on the PS3 instead of the PC for the couch factor. acsguitar

How the hell do you play a game like that on a pc...oh wait i know...hold enter, while you press up,ctrl,esc,alt and scroll.....and to shoot just press s,r,ctrl and alt....

Come on unless you have more than 10 fingers PC gaming is not for you....

I found this shock on the third time through. You'll be walking down a basement corridor and you'll see a wired fence gate to your right and when you look through it, it has health, so you walk in and grab the health and hear a horror movie shriek behind you and turn around and see the girl standing right there staring directly at you but it's a quick flash. Scared the hell out of me, only thing in the entire demo that made me jump.cheezisgoooood

Yeah this happened to me on the first time through though, it gave me a good scare. It's funny someone mentioned they hit R3 as a reflex, I did the same thing lol when that little girl showed on my screen. Was playing around 12 at night with the sound pretty high...good times. But I still think the game is rental material for me, I dont see myself playing this more than once.

Dude, what are you talking about? Unless you were trying to be sarcastic (if you were, it doesn't come across as such), your comment is absurd hyperbole. "to shoot just press s,r,ctrl and alt...." No. To shoot all you press is a single mouse button. "unless you have more than 10 fingers PC gaming is not for you" What are you trying to tell the guy? I've only got 10 fingers and I have no issue playing a game like this on the PC, as do numerous other people who play PC games.

Back to the thread at hand, the FEAR 2 demo didn't really scare me at all. Most of the scares were fairly predictable for me, especially after playing the first game. The only part that actually made me jump was the aforementioned moment when you're leaving the theater (before the mech section). Funny thing was that when it happened, I instinctively shook the controller because I was playing the first Resistance beforehand, and that moment reminded me of when a leaper or a menial grabs you.

For stupidest post of the day.

You use W,A,S,D to move around, all which are in a 2 inch space and can be pressed with the middle, index and ring finger of your left hand with extreme ease. Switching weapons requires a flick of the mouse wheel, and firing requires the tap of the left mouse button. With some binding chages, zoom in can be set to the right mouse button, thereby making the control scheme and aiming on the PC version nearly 100% superior in both ease and accuracy. Plus, it runs better, and looks much better on the PC if your PC has the guts to handle it.
