I never played it, I was wondering is it more of a tactical shooter like rainbow six vegas or like resistance? I read the story and you're part of some elite unit or something so I was just wondering.

Are you joking? It's one of the best games I've played in a long time, and I'm sure plenty will say the same. And what if he wants to play it without beefing up his computer? What's wrong with that. From what I hear the port will be just fine...

Dont bother, the PORT sucks. Its 2 yrs old PC game, Pick it up for $19.99 for the PC if you need to play this garbage.

Don't listen to this guy he doesn't know what he's talking about. F.E.A.R is a great game if you haven't played it already. If you have a PC capable of playing it I go with that. If not the PS3 version should be fine then.
its got great ai but the ai gets on your nerves and it seems like the enemy can do more then you can in terms of covering and stuff. The game really needed to be more like vegas with the same areas.

I just got F.E.A.R. for the Xbox 360 (couldn't wait for the PS3 version), and this game is fantastic. I like it more than I like Resistance or Gears, and that says a lot. It's definitely worth a buy!!!!
It's a mix of the two, with the greatest A.I. you'll ever face.ihatebugers
The ai is top notch. Be prepared to be disappointed by the graphics though. Its no resistence, gears or pdz. But its better than all of those 3. It underwhelms at the start but once you wander deeper into the creepy story and the ai setup some wanderful action pieces you'll love it. When the ai start charging over desks and taking cover and blind-firing you, it feels very cool. Just remember slo-mo is your friend. Anybody whos not played this on 360 or PC should pick it up. A bit of a rip-off price wise but still worth it.

Ignore Nanomech he is a total PSfanboy and hates anything that is on 360. Its a worthy purchase and better tan Resistence but be warned the graphics are a little last gen but the ai is amazing and the spooks are top notch. If youve seen Ring (***) and enjoyed it this will def appeal.
What I love about this game is how fast it really is. at first you'll find yourself using slow-motion so much, but as soon as you're in a situation and out of stamina, it becomes so frenzied in only a second.

Yeah it gets frantic. You'll love te later weapons as well. The weapons are not as nice as Resistence and the starting guns are generic but later they are cool. Give it a blast if its similar as the 360's it is worth a purchase. Shame it will retail full price though. This game shows that gameplay out does graphics every time. There not bad but not Vegas, Graw, Resistence etc but better game for sure.
its a good game. not amazing, but its good. resistance is the best FPS i've played since HL2, but before resistance, FEAR was the best FPS i've played since HL2.
thanks guys, I downloaded the demo, the game is pretty sweet I think I'll give it a go for ps3 cause I read on the F.E.A.R. website the console versions have extras.
