im suprised there has been no ff13 to 360 or mgs4 from any of the websitesbigLLL
WTH are you talking aabout?? that was confirmed exactly 1 year ago
This is obviously false...but just to humor the thread.
Squenix would have to have been hiring a LOT of new modelers/animators, which they haven't, to be able to get this done by 2009. Their best modeling/animation teams are working on FFXIII and Versus XIII. It's clearly been said, many times, that Squenix heads only work on one major title at a time (FFXIII and Versus have some overlapping, but they are also working together to contrast each game). So, unless you consider a FFVII remake a small title, they don't have anyone to head up the project.
Squenix has also said, several times, that somewhere down the road a FFVII remake might be considered if they were not working on anything else. Or, better yet, to read into that, when they need the money because they have nothing left to offer. It's their "ace-in-the-hole." With the upcoming release of FFXIII, Versus XIII, The Last Remnant, two FF:Crystal Chronicles games for the Wii, Crisis Core selling very well, etc., I don't think they are hurting at the moment.
Another problem. They offer zero proof or even a source for how they know there will be "undisputed confirmation" in TLR for the release of a FFVII remake. They mention some stupid off-the-wall remark about the Twisted Metal source code hint, and then in no way relate that to what they are talking about. Surely someone else noticed this.
Lastly, why in the world would Squenix release info of a FFVII remake with TLR? Unless they were gonna make it multi-platform (which with the level of graphical detail on a 70+ hour game with over 150 scores of music...fitting on a dvd-9...I don't think so, not even 4 of them), why wouldn't they just announce it in some way when FFXIII is released.
Now, the major thing not even relating to the info on the FFVII remake that lets me KNOW this is all made up BS: How do they know that TLR is coming out before FFXIII? TLR was first announced less than a year ago (5/10/2007). There have been no new pics or any info for almost 7 months. So, somehow, this site knows the general release date of TLR. It has been fairly hinted at that FFXIII has a slight possibility of coming out at the end of this year, or early next year. So, that would mean that TLR would need to come out towards the end of this year at the latest. I don't see that happening.
The reason the joke failed boils down to the fact that they released too much information that has never been verified and they also offer no real source (SCEJ employee...but for some of it, no source at all). They should have left TLR out of the post altogether, because far too little is known about the game, yet they are making claims as if it's complete and ready to ship out soon.
If the site really wanted people to believe this, they wouldn't have released it less than an hour before 4/01 in EST. I'm not sure where the site is based out of. The FFVII remake is much too talked about to be a subject for an April Fools joke, so this was a poor attempt.
...oh, and ...eh, I went too far with this post...it's longer than the TC's link.

If there weren't 10 or so people considering believing it, I wouldn't have tried to help them understand why it's not real. :P That, and I'm really tired of FFVII remake threads in general, so I don't want a stupid April Fools joke like this to cause 500 more to pop up. But, even more so, I'm bored at the moment, and about to go to bed, so got a little long-winded (you may notice it happens often). ;)
If anybody understand Japanese please translate this.. I know one the developers mentioned something about FFVII and they show Cloud video from the tech demo.. the interview I believe from last month.. but no subtitle.aka_aj03
You know what's really sad? I have that address memorized, so I know not to click it. ;)
