I tried it today and it looked awesome. Not as good as the newer games but none the less, great. Like the other guy said, the smoothing option helped a lot. This update is great.

I forgot to mention that I was running on 1080p over HDMI. FFX was far from mindblowingly different, but none the less, pretty cool.
I was running it on 1080i HD.. looks greats.. I'd say it looks pretty much the same as if you where playing it on a PS2 on an SD... but with alot less jags cause of the smoothing and big screen.. Seems to fit a wide screen very well.

Did you set the upscaler to normal or full screen?[QUOTE="CHRIS_K_UK"]Why you asking so many questions if you don't have a PS3? You wanna know what pajamas I'm wearing how about what beer I'm drinking?I was running it on 1080i HD.. looks greats.. His right.
i set mine to fullscreen but i still get the small black side bars and normal is 4:3 big black bars thats normal right i tought fullscreen takes thos away same with dvds some of them have blackbars at the top and buttom but fullscreen sould fix that no?Crazy87Yeah the 1/2 inch black side bars are part of the games inage, its SD overscan compensation all last generation games have these black bars. The only way is the use pan san on your TV or use zoom setting. I thought Sony would have addressed this by adding a SD overscan zoom feature on this update but I guess they haven't. What you need to do is take the image and stretch it out by 1/2 inch on both sides, lets hope the next update will address this.
