FFXIII Demo talk and impressions - IGN.

It was posted last evening and for those who haven't had a chance to read up on it yet, IGN staff have info on PS3 current demo aspects as well as some insight in full game small details such as trophy support, frame rates etc.

Japanese PS3 Demo is out next week and it will contain little over one hour of gameplay but it won't of course include all the features of full release. According to Mr.Toriyama We'll see just about 30% of the final battle system.

As with every Final Fantasy title, I'm very much looking forward to this one as well. ;)

I wasn't going to buy a PS3 until this game came out. I can't wait. I am hoping to get to play the demo soon. A little taste will hold me over till the release.

I believe that's only for the demo purposes, they mentioned that in full release it looks like you should be able to switch between all parties members and take controls.

At the present time only way is to import Japanese version of Blu-ray movie: Advent Children which contains the demo in it.

As far as I know that's the only way right now.

Since there aren't any subtitles I will have to wait for future announcements which I hope will be released outside of Japan. ;)

What really has been bugging me about this game is that the developers are saying its going to use 100% OF THE PS3'S POWER...

Meaning either:

1. Bulls**t

2. English version is gonna suck. Badly ( maybe just the 360 version, who knows?)

I highly doubt it.

Going back into PSX and PS2 best looking visual/size games came on later stages in console life span. Of course there are different aspects when developers say "We are using 100%".

It could be audio files, enemies on screen, data on hard-drive, textures and so forth.

To trully use PS3 hardware to almost max it will require additional years for developers to unleash more hidden power with the system.

That's how it was in the past and that's how it will be in future especially with brand new and still untapped Cell Processor and it's cores.

That's my take on it anyway. I firmly believe in next 2-4 years we'll see quite a big leap in visuals alone from PS3 games. Blu-ray space and large hard-drives will contribute to that. ;)
