Yeah I've played the demo as well. I got a code for it by preordering at Gamestop a few weeks ago. It took a while to get used to, but once i did, it was great, and fun to play. I'm looking forward to the full game later this month...

I felt like a total n00b, I just kept spamming punches, and I won all three matches I played.:|

Anybody know were I can find the difficulty option?

Other than that, it's pretty fluid and I'll pick it up once it's released.

It was great and awesome. It looks like a real boxing match, especially the inside fighting.

I am more into heavyweights so I can wait til the 25th. Ali vs Foreman will be my first match followed by Tyson vs Fraizer.

I don't understand it. I've never played Fight Night, so I don't get why opponents' health regenerates immediately and how I'm supposed to win. I don't like the analog control, either. It's extremely inaccurate.

IDK, for some reason it felt different than Fight Night Round 3 and more difficult to play.

Same, I got a feeling this one is going to be tougher. I got some good counters here and there, but if it wasn't for my jab/straight spamming he would've owned my every time.

This is the first Fight Night Round game I have played. I actually really enjoyed, i'm pretty awful at pulling of the haymakers though.

Well, if you looked at the stats both their punch strenghts were in the low 40's. I thought the same, until I saw that. it's more than likely because of their weight class.

Its gonna take some getting used to since you have to hold down R2 for haymakers. But over all, its much faster and the graphics have improved alot since round 3.

thats very dissapointing, in FNR3 it didnt matter what weight class they are, but you can still feel their heavy punches that makes you cringe and more satisfying when you land a hit, also I played it with my brother and he just keeps spamming punches while I block most of it then leaving him open for my punches, but he still wins, so I did what hes doing and just button mash then I start winning, weird

Well it is boxing after, points are scored by landing punches. It still has that sort of feel if you play computer some of the hits I took were brutal, especially the counter haymakers.. You just have to punch at the right time to get that sort of broken jaw punch off. I really like how you don't need to get the health all the way down to score a knock out. I put the 2ND player guy in the red with 2 good counter punches back to back and then scored a knockdown with one last good heymaker as he was trying to clinch me. His health wasn't even 75% down when I knocked him down so he got up pretty fast. Over all I like it but it just seems that the learning curve has just gotten steeper. I hear that a low of improvements has been made since the demo too.

Also int the final game if he's just spamming weak punches all you need to do is keep blocking and countering. Let him win the rounds for scoring more hits but you ceek chippin away at his health and you'll soon KO he in a later round. The problem is the demo is only 3 rounds so its a score fest. However in a 12 round fight he'd just run out of stamina by the 5th round from spamming punches and the match would be as good as yours.

My thoughts: The analog stick while tough at first works quite well when you learn to get use it. I enjoy the bobbing and weaving in the game. The game looks great and sounds even better I thought. Also, does anyone else think the game looks really cartoony? To me, while it looks great, it looks like I am watching a Pixar version of Manny and Hatton duking it out. I thought overall it was quite fun and might be worth a pick-up.

that makes sense, come to think of it he just always wins by score points, other than that I thought it was ok, I wish the demo was longer and hopefully the final build would have stronger punches regardless of weight class

Weird thing is I like to watch boxing matches every so often. However I can never seem to get into a boxing game. They always seem too slow or was always missing something. I downloaded the demo and I have to say this game is very fun to play. Graphics are very nice, fast paced fighting......I think i'll definatley be purchasing this when it comes out. That is if its not out alreay.

I think the UFC Undisputed developers should develop a boxing game next. These guys did a phenominal job with the MMA genre, and boxing needs a serious boot up the clacker hole in the games department. In fact I have struggled to find a pugilistic pleasure from a video games since the 16bit era with James Buster Douglas Boxing on the Megadrive/Genesis, and before that Punch Out on nes. Yukes upped the fighting genre ant with UFC, Namco & Capcom have my money with their unrealistic approach to the genre in SF4 and Tekken 6.....But EA seem to WOW me with the graphics in their FN series, but the gameplay always seems to suffer because of their heavy emphasis on the graphics. The series needs a serious boost in fun factor....I don't know whether it's the slow ass way your fighters prance around the ring, or the balance between realism and arcade, but EA just seem to keep getting something wrong in this series that I can't put my finger on.

I was a huge fan of Round 3, but didn't like Round 4 very much. I like that the graphics look better and that it runs faster, but blocking seems less responsive to me (parrying at least) and punches (haymakers especially) seem very difficult to pull off. Having to hold down R2 just doesn't offer me a fluid responsive option. Maybe I'll get used to the controls over time, but I'm not jumping for joy about the changes they made.

I felt like punches didnt have as great of an impact as they did in the 3rd one. But at the same time, the speed was a lot faster which brought more realism.

I played Fight Night Round 3 A LOT for my PS3 and I'm very disappointed with this demo. The bone-crunching sounds are lacking, hard punches are made stupid with those lights that flash green and blue or whatever on counters and stuff. Overall, the game is much less brutal and much less exciting to play against another non CPU player. I liked FNR3 a lot better and will NOT be picking this up.

Yes, it's EA we're talking about here (the trophy patch kings). Not to mention all games from 2009 are *supposed* to have trophies.

Haymakers are best used when the guys blocking metter is low and also there is no parrying
