I've heard a lot about Oblivion and i decided to play it for about 3 days. So far i am not too impressed. the game is very slow paced and i find walking from a far distance to another rather boring, although i see why fans love it. It is a great RPG, i just don't feel that it is right for me, i love action. Does it get any better later?
And there is also UT3, i might actually buy it!:D The games is fast paced (i hope not soo fast i cannot play it) and there are lot of things to keep me playing, plus and new map pack has been created, awesome! :D
ok to enjoy it use a bow and kill some gaurds and dude you can teleport to places you've been and to get to places you haven't steal a horse. that game is great you need to get it!!
Not "teleport". It is Fast Travel. On the map, move the arrow to previously discovered locations and you can travel there. Time still passes in the game for the amount of distance travelled.
The game (Oblivion) is very open-ended. You can go/do whatever you want. That's the point. You can follow the main storyline AND do side-quests, or you can just explore and do the dozens of side-quests at your leisure.
If you're looking for the game to give you linear direction, it's not for you. It allows you to explore and advance at will. That's one of the things that makes the series so great.
Oblivion is epic. You can always use a horse or fat travel using the map, but i thought part of the fun was exploring the vast map. I love Oblivion to bits, and i'd pick it over UTIII any day.
