Final Fantasy Versus XIII will be a much more open FF title !

FFXIII combat system is not that deep... In fact, you can't even use half of the team and the battles are so fast that the only thing you do is use the automatic button or switch to medic when HP is low, nothing more... Pretty basic stuff if you think about it.

Its not the deepest JRPG battle system out there but it is definitely not shallow. I love battle systems that actually require strategy and a brain.

A paradigm action combat system would probably be 7 different flavors of awesome IMO, if done right. A copy and paste of KHs battle system would be complete fail though.

At least Versus is sounding more like a Final Fantasy and less like a Tech Demo. 13 was Pathetic.

XIII isnt perfect but its one hell of a quality game.

Calm down kids its indeed a good game, but alot of aspects are a step backwards in the series. As in.......not acceptable.....for a "next-gen" FF. Also my definition of a "tech demo" has nothing to do with god standards. Also stop using the word "god" like its something that exists. :)

Agreed. All well. Devs will release what gamers accept I suppose. I'm sure when Versus comes out you'll wonder the purpose of 13 in the first please. Thats my bet.

Yep, XIII is a rad game for sure. Verses should be great too tho. It will be nice to have a game that has good direction and good exploration. Release? I am guessing not till Q2 or Q3 of 2011

I can only hope, but it would be great if they could release FF VS. XIII next year around this time. I find it hard to wait for games that look like they have great potential.
