Just downloaded MGS from PSN via Media Go! and now i have both Final Fantasy VII and Metal Gear Solid! Seems like my PSP will be without a UMD for sometime.

I hope that FF8 and FF9 plus other classics such as Legend Of Dragoon will make itto the PSN.

I hope that many many classics make it to the PSN. I don't know why Konami has given so much support to the PSP but still no Suikoden 2. It would make a killing. And from what I can see, playing the Japanese ver, its really not worth the money it goes for these days so it would be great for gamers who want to experience it.

I can't wait for Resident Evil 2 and 3 to be finally released.

Not sure if they will be playable over PSP but I'm exited nevertheless, I have a good feeling many more classic games will come back. ;)

is MGS available for download for people in the UK? The PSN store has hardly any PSone classics available to download here. FF VII, a few Crash games, Syphon Filter.. and that's pretty much it :(

Has anyone gotten past the Psycho Mantis part in MGS? I'm curious about how that battle would play on the PSP.

You can change your controller port in the emulator. The only problem I ran into with the PSP was the fact that the PSP doesn't use dualshock controls but the PSP's control pad doesn't work for certain parts of the game so you have to edit the custom controller to go with the analog stub.

Second this. Why are PSN releases so few and far between anyway? And why is it that Japan has so many more than we do? It doesn't seem to make much sense to me.

No, not yet. I suspect MGS will arrive on the UK Store eventually. 2011 if we're lucky.

Regading the people who have said about MSG on UK PSN. I was reading the latest issue of Playstation Magazine and it has a review of PSN games and the two games they reviewed were FF VII and MGS. Now it said it was on PSN and as that this is a UK magazine their info is flawed as there is no sign of MSG coming to PSN anytime soon.

I'd have to disagree there... FFIV, V, and VI were very bad ports on the PS1, so those versions would be the last things I'd want to play on the PSP.

They weren't that bad. I love the fmvs they added to VI and the load times for the menus are greatly exaggerated. 2 seconds is not a long time. The biggest problem ws the save issue with FFV.

Besides, there's no reason why the problems of the PS1 ports would continue to the PSP on DL format.

They have well over 100 PS1 titles including Xenogears. I don't get it either.

would it really take them that long to just put all the best Ps1 games on to the psn for everyone? I'm pretty sure all the companies would welcome it, plus the game are quite small to now day standard's. It could probabally be done in 2 or 3 months unless there is lots of rubbish paper work
