Buy it on the PS3 and rest assured that the version you're playing is the definitive one. The 360 version is an inferior port with alot of compression issues. This has been proven via statements by the game's staff but 360 fanboys are in denial. Do what I'll do and pretend that the 360 version doesn't even exist. Hold on a second. Nothing has been said of compression "issues" only of compression. What you're saying is loaded with pre-assumptions. Also I don't particularly like this art. It's not plain enough to be stylish but not busy enough to be interested. I'd like to see something like the US FF12 art tbh honest.
