But it seems to me that GRAW 2 isn't a port. I think it was developed simultaneously for both systems.
It definitely looks better, although how much better I don't know... Probably won't be able to tell until we can compare both side by side in action.
All that aside, I definitely agree... Port or not, it's awesome to see a PS3 game coming out on top of it's 360 counterpart.
Graw 2 is not a ps3 import it was in production at the same time as the xbox360 and this was said by the creator of the game. He also said that the teams making both games exchange ideas and stuff to each other to make each version better. So the game isn't actually a port that why it looks so good...fistoflight
the point isn't that it's a port or not... that's my mistake, ok, it's not a port. It's the idea that a game from Ubisoft, which i may add had one division dissin the PS3 and did a horrible port of Splinter Cel, looks great. At a time like this, when you have EA saying they are supporting the 360 more, because it has a bigger base, and easier to develope for, and fanboys yellin that PS3 doesn't even look better than a 360. Look at the fact we are 8 months through, only 8 months, and we are getting results like that. Think about what xbots have to say now, and what the future of PS3 holds for us.

Aye that why in my post in the other thread I praised the team for working hard on this version and not being lazy :].
sorry, but that's not true. i played both. please for your own sake don't tink it looks much better. it doesn't.
but than again, if you haven't played it on 360, you wouldn't know.. so maybe i should have let you think it does look 10 x better.:-S
If you played the DEMO you can tell it's not a port. I mean look at how realistic the explosion were! The CELL processor handles explosion very VERY good! It was proved at E3 2005! GRAW 2's explosions are the best, yet.
Anyway, it was confirmed that the PS3 version was built using the PS3 hardware from the very first start of its development!

link doesn't work, but i've seen the screens yesterday. the problem with the screens is that they are not from the same part of the game. that's strange, cause that would be EASY (SAME GAME).
GRAW2 is a game that looks great in some areas, and not so great in other areas. you need to compare the SAME areas.
i finished the game on 360 (good but not great by the way, too easy). and compared the two demo's.
Holy crap! :O
I must say the difference makes the xbox360 version look like a PS2 game, however, that is only one screenshot.
Maybe the "x360" screens are pre-release pics during developement?
I won't believe that until i see an article or more pics regarding that, however if it's true, wow!

Believe it man. GRAW 2 on PS3 is NOT a port. Simple.

If the recent EA quote is to be believed about prefering 360 and having two teams for games then I guess ur right :)
Ade.
this is ridiculous you can clearly see they took shots of a floor in a building with no detail on the 360 side, then on the ps3 side they took a shot of dirt and grass, the purpously took different shots to try to make the 360 ver look worse. Some of the pics look about the same, some have a little more detail on the ps3 because they took different shots. I think it looks about the same, if the ps3 ver looks a little better it's probably because they had a few extra months to do it. Lets wait until the final it comes out though, because the same thing was said about oblivion because some of the textures looked a little sharper on the ps3. But overall it was said on every site that the 360 crushed it in graphics.TIMMY01978
i agree. the game looks great on the 360. the colors in those pictures look muted and dulled on purpose. the game is actually much more colorful and vibrant. that comparison was obviously made by a fanboy who was purposefully trying to make the 360 version look worse.
i think the graphics are similar to the360, but the ps3 also has the added bonus of much better explosions, damn they look so real-like.
the game got difficult towards the end of the demo though with all all those soldiers and that helicopter, i just hope the game is not really difficult. Even though i do like a challenge, i really dont like games that are too-hard, only time will tell, but its a fantastic game.

If you want to see more difference, go to the 360 GRAW 2 on gamespot compare to the PS3 GRAW 2 on gamespot and there is a difference.
dirt and graw2 are perfect demos, as they have done their job and made me want to purchase both.
i 'cant' say the same for other titles such as heavenly sword.
Well most games look better on 360 that are on both systems, Madden looks and runs better, Virtua Fighter also does. And if you look at Exclusives, I dont think anyone would argue Gears of War and Bioshock have better graphics than any ps3 game to date. Gamespot did a graphical comparison of a couple games I will give you the link for it. But basicly the comparison was a wash, even though 360 looked better on more games, all the games were very close. With Oblivion it they said the character models looked better on ps3 but the roads and ground looked better on 360 because the color was so bland and washed out on ps3. That's pretty sad considering Bethesda had months to make the ps3 look better on this game. Also GRAW 2 had alot more time to spend on the PS3 version. If you compare a game that came out on the same day, the 360 ver always looks better, IE Madden 08, Armored Core, etc. 360 games overall look better.

no argument about the other stuff, and i remember seeing the gamespot comparison from back when the ps3 first came out and the 360 won that comparison hands down. however, graphically, oblivion on the ps3 definitely surpassed the 360 version overall, according to everything i've seen review and comparison wise (i do remember something about some cobblestone texturing that was pretty weak on the ps3 for whatever reason, though). in side by side video comparisons that were on gametrailers, the ps3 clearly had better texture (foliage specifically), character models, and draw distances. the one real aspect that was slightly lacking was color vibrancy, which has since been resolved with the ps3 'full rgb' setting. given how much time they had to optimize the ps3 version, it should have looked better than it did, but it still was (is) the graphically superior version.Well most games look better on 360 that are on both systems, Madden looks and runs better, Virtua Fighter also does. Yeah I admit the xbox 360 versions are looking better than the ps3 ported versions except for oblivion of course. But once the developers start getting a hang of making the games for the ps3 the games on both consoles are gonna look equal or the ps3 is gonna look better. Than again most of the games that are out on the xbox360 that look better than the ps3 are ports from ubi soft and ea... Except madden of course with the 30 fps on the ps3.
