First Game for the PS3?

Hello. I'm getting a PS3 40 gb bundle this Wednesday on Boxing Day...and wanted to know what would be the best choice for my first game? Right now, i'm contemplating between:

- Call of Duty 4

- Assassins Creed

- Uncharted : Drakes Fortune

- Unreal Tournament III

- Ratchet and Clank : Tools of Destruction

However, i want to be playing online so i think Call of Duty 4 would be my best choice...what's your opinion, guys and gals?

I would get all the games.

If you want online then yes COD4 or UT3 would be your best bet .. but defiantely get Uncharted too ..

CoD4 has a magnificent single player campaign & addictive on-line play. good choice.

you do realize that a 720p 24" monitor looks nearly exactly the same as a 1080p 24"monitor.

It depends on what you're after. For a great online game, you can't go wrong with COD 4 or Unreal. COD has a more developed ranking and weapon system but Unreal is much faster and just pure fun. Graphics are on both are awesome.

Look to Ratchet and Clank or Uncharted if you want a good offline game. I think both are better than Assassin's Creed. Ratchet is a fun game with Pixar like graphics and Uncharted is cool story with nice game play. Creed makes its money in the game play and graphics but it can get a little boring toward the middle of the game and village people (not the band) are really annoying.

Boxing Day is an event in Canada that has a sale blowout throughout all stores. It's like the equivalent to Black Friday in the U.S.

There is a noticeable difference, but unless you also wanna use it as a computer monitor or something you'd probably be better off with a larger 720p set for the same price.
