just wanted to know what other gamers first experience with the playstation was.

My first time ever seeing a playstation was back in 1997 when i visited my cousins house. i was like what is this? he had the jet moto 2 demo, and bushido blade. i'm not gonna lie the jank was decent. ever since then i've been a playstation fan.

In the mid '90s I imported a launch PlayStation from Japan along with a copy of Ridge Racer. It cost an arm and a leg to buy but when I plugged it in to my step down convertor and powered it up for the first time I was absolutely amazed. At the time most of my friends had Super Nintendos and to have actual 3D was absolutely amazing. For me the PlayStation was the console that changed everything. I've been addicted to consoles since NES and I've been playing them since the 2600, but at the time of the Japanese PlayStation launch there was just nothing like it. For me, taken in the context of the time it was released, it is the best console ever.

mine was in 97. first game was jet moto 2. but i got that the day after. the first day i played the demo disk that came with it to see which game i wanted to buy for it :D

First experience was in my local wal mart playing "Road and Track Presents: The Need For Speed". The first i played at a private residence was 2Xtreme.

The first time I saw one was my friend's cousins PS1, and he was playing Crash Bandicoot.

My first experience was when I bought one for 50 bucks about 8 years ago with Final Fantasy 8. One of the best games Ive ever played.

Parraper The Rapper was my first PS1 experience. God that was a great game. Couldn't get enough of it.

I first saw a playstation in 1995 on display at best buy and it was broke. I later ended up buying one for final fantasy 7 after it was advertised to death.

my dad brought home a ps1 with brave fencer musashi and syphon filter....and fell in love with the PlayStation brand ever since.

i played twisted mtal 1 on my dads ps1 when i was 5, it was awesome, been a tm and ps fan ever since, my first ever gaming experience also. im glad i got with mature games straight away and didnt get into the ninny kiddy ****.

My firend across the road has a playstation whilst I still had my SNES, i was blown away by the incredible graphics (well they were incredible then) and since then I've always stuck to Ninsonydo (as i never stick to just one system)

When I first came to America in 97 and played my cousin's PS1. I think the first game I played on it was Tekken 3? I don't really remember considering I was only 7 back then. But the first ever console game I played was Mario and it was fun as hell.

It was november 97 when a friend got one here in europe but he invited me in 98 that bastard he had this incredible demo one whith porshe challenge and oddworld etc then he got my favourite game of all time tomb raider 2 and gran turismo and colin mcrae which became one of the best games for me

My 1st Playstation experience was at my best friend's house. He had a mulititude of games but 1 game that caught my eye was Final Fantasy VII. It was the only game that I wanted to obtain a new console. I'm very glad I did. I'm a proud owner of a Playstation, Playstation 2 & Playstation 3.

Not sure of dates or anything but the first time i'd ever seen a playstaion was at my friends house i played crash bandicoot for about 10 mins whilst he got ready to go play football, about a year or so later i got a playstation for christmas, it was my first console, my dad owned all the consoles in the home previously so to have my own was something special. I got crash bandicoot and porsche challenge with 2 controllers and a memory card bundled from Comet, then on boxing day my dad gave me money to choose any other game i wanted, i bought tomb raider 2. Good Times!

Man you have no idea what happened to me when I first got the PLAYSTATION back in the 90s and you won't believe what happened when I played MGS1 Demo from the demo disk that came with PS1! I was "truly" blown away, PS1 days were the best!!

I think it was Crash Bandicoot in the late 90s. I still have the original system and around 30 ps1 games. Now that they stopped producing them I might sell them for big bucks when it becomes ancient :P

Me and a friend rented a PS and FF7 and we beat it in a 3 day weekend played almost non stop, was the first PS game i ever played

Mines was when I got mines in 95 & played the demo with crash bandicoot & a couple of demos. I was the coolest kid in school when I bought the playstation manual to class. Ahhhhhhhhhh...memories.

I first got a PSX on September 22nd 1996 (I remember exactly because it was my 10th birthday lol), and the first game to go into my system was Resident Evil. I thought the graphics were amazing, but now they look really bad in comparison to today's games. Hopefully in another 5-10 years, the PS3 graphics will look really poor :).

I had the N64 back in the day and i really liked it but the games weren't THAT good, then one friend call me to come to his house and play a new console he just bought (PlayStation) he had Resident Evil in, we played until his parents told me i should go home cuz it was to late .... i bought mine the next day.

My first Playstation experience starts way back when the first playstation was still fresh. There was a demo out that contained a preview of many games. I will never forget that "bunny/jumping in space" thing. It was one of coolest games I have ever played, I was too young to remember the name of it though :P

Other then that the first "real" game that I played was the first Ridge Racer. Man that was a fun game.
But the first PS experience that went me go WOW!! was the first Tony Hawk game.

My first PS experience was when I bought one in 97 or 98 because I wanted an alternative to Nintendo. That and the fact that games were running on cds I thought was high tech compared to game cartridges. My first game was the demo disk it came with with the Playstation Underground demos and subscription stuff. The first real game I bought was Spyro the Dragon and some racing game called Gran Turismo which I still have. lol. Those were the good old days.

It was in the mid 90's. It was a demo disk at EB games I got to play Battle Arena Toshindo and saw a video of Destruction Derby and Twisted Metal. I was hooked from that moment on!!!

Jumping Flash; I imported the Japanese version back in '95 at the time that game blew me away. I recently purchased it off the PSN, it hasn't aged well at all. :)

If I remember right it was about 12-13 years ago and I bought Air Combat. My favorite games BY FAR for the original PS was Resident Evil and Final Fantasy VII.
