My first Playstation experience was at my friend's house, in 96. He asked me: -Hey, you like horror movies, right? Then you should play this game! (loading Resident Evil). When I saw the scene with the zombie eating that corpse in the hallway I freezed there, amazed, delighted, mesmerized.
My first experience with PS was back when it got released in EU, and my local video store used to rent out a machine that was bolted in a metal suitcase :P i used to play a LOT of Jumping Flash ^^... i didn't buy one untill a couple of years later. Then i got a PS2 on release in EU, and a PS3 about a month ago :)
i kept hearing that gta3 was amazing and this was when it was released i also heard great things about metal gear solid 2 so i gave in got a ps2 and bought the two games. my first experience was with metal gear solid 2 and i have to say i absolutely hated the game and felt a bit bad about the whole purchase then i played gta 3 and i was sold on the ps2.
no offense to metal gear solid fan i've said time and again i respect kojima and im trying to get into metal gear solid, since metal gear solid 4 looks great i even just bought portable ops but i just can't get into it.
I've had experiences with PS1 but i'll talk about the first one I owned, the PS2. For some reason my dad was extremley generous, and told me "If you behave at my dentist apointment I will buy you one of those video game consoles" (Which was really weird, cuz cmon..how hard is it to sit still for a couple of minutes, 'scpeacially with motivation like that) So , in the end I did. We went to our local best buy, I asked for a PS1, they said they were out of stock and they had one more ps2 left, I wanted a ps1 though! In the end i got a ps2, and didnt know it was a day after launch, then I was the coolest kid in the fourth grade cuz i had a new system a day after it came out. Personally i think it was pure luck.
I played playstation 1 at a friend's house in 1998 I think, we played gran turismo 1 or 2, can't remember. I never had a playstation 1, but I got a ps2 in 2002 after playing it enough at a friend's house. I really wanted GTA3, Final fantasy 9 and 10, NHL Hitz 2003, and I knew the other GTAs were coming
I got a PS1 at the Cristmas of 1998. I can still remember playing Spyro The Dragon for the first time. That was a great series until it made its first appearance on the PS2. All Spyro games suck now. I miss the good old days when Insomniac produced them.....
I don't exactly remember which game that I 1st played on PS1, but for some reason I remember Daytona was the 1st game I played on the Saturn, they had it on display at a game store.
Well my was in 1996 when I first seen twisted 1 I went nuts that and tekken 1,and a few years later mgs came out then I knew I was a sony fan forever along with kojima all man the 90ds was the best I'am glad I grew up on that stuff in that era.But lets not forget Nintendo 64 cause every game on that system was so much fun to play...
My first experience was getting a playstation 1 when i was about 17 and putting on the first game i had which was resident evil 2,i thought it was pretty crap to start with,but once i stuck it on again after giving up and getting used to the 3D controls i thought it was the most amazing game i ever played.Ive been a huge game fan ever since i was a kid,having a spectrum,game boy,megadrive etc. But playing that game was the first time that i was actually scared by a game console and it defo fuelled my love of video games to this day. It amazed me i was actually playing in a 3D enviroment,was pretty incredible at the time.
i got 2 playstations in 1997 i think or 6 . i got need for speed 3 hot pursuit crash 3 and spyro the dragan and oddworld, best of the 4 was nfs 3 without a doubt first game isaw that played good, as for being my first 3d game i dont think it was, stunt race fx for the snes was my first 3d game played in 1994

Same as most people here. I got my PS1 when it first came out along with Ridge Racer, Tekken and Raiden Project. I got alot of great years out of the PS1 and all it`s great games. As great and new as it was back in the day, I still couldn`t give up on my SNES. To bad I gave up on my Sega Genesis. I can`t beleive I traded my Genesis and all it`s games (35+) for the PS1. To this day though I still will play some of my PS1 games. I still own Tekken 2, Ace Combat 2, Wipeout XL, Street Fighter Alpha 1 & 2, Raiden Project, Strider 2, Castlevania SOTN, Vandel Hearts, Formula 1, Ridge Racer 3, Omega Boost, King of Fighters 94 and Namco Collection (Ms. Pacman).
I was in San Diego for Navy training and I went to the rec room to hang out and saw someone playing Ridge Racer and a White Zombie album was playing as the soundtrack! then after that I saw Resident Evil for the 1st time and was blown away by that too. So, eventually I got a PS1 with Twisted Metal I and Tekken II. The rest, as they say, is history.
