You know ive been wondering, which game do you think will be the first to get a 9.something score? I thought Vf5 could but didnt. I really hope one comes around soon. So waddaya guys think? I know it doesnt really matter, but i wanna know what you guys think...
Possibly Motorstorm, if not Oblivion. I really don't care about the reviews from here. I like to take the average of all the sites. SW is the only place where GS scores only matter.
if lair lives up to the hype i think that has a good chance here on gs. but yea never go strickly on what gamespot gives a game,. look at an overall average..... opinions are like a$$holes.... everyones got one.

If you read IGN's Hands on for F.E.A.R. then you'll know that this game is no way near getting a 9 from any website, b/c graphic wise and very bad AI, this game might turn out to be a big disappointment... but the devs have some time to fix the issues so we'll be lucky if we got a decent port of F.E.A.R. let alone a 9.0

you must be talking about the PS3 version because the 360 version of FEAR does not have "very bad AI". Although I have not read that the AI was bad in the PS3's verison of FEAR.
Exclusive wise MGS4 WILL get a 9.0 or higher but the first ones might be Motorstorm or Havenly Sword. AND the one game Im really looking forward to is Uncharted: Drake's fortune, which will launch sometime around the release of MGS4, that game also has the potential.

Oblivion, maybe? I think Oblivion's dated graphics may push it down below a 9.0, though. Especially since it's already a 9-month old game.mjarantilla
Actually since its 9 months old game, PS3 team got that extra time to improve it's graphics ALOT from the xbox version. read the preview of it on IGN.com
On gamespot, every PS3 game automatically starts off at 9.0 and is deducted from there. Until they let go of Bill Gates' hand, we won't see honest ps3 scoring. I recommend looking at other sites because they are normally alot more accurate. I think RFOM is easily a 9.0 simply off the fact that it is a launch title. Most other reviewers felt similarly, hence the score. I don't think Oblivion is worth a 9 because of how old it is. Not that the graphics won't be improved or anything of the like. Mainly because it has been out and we've seen it for a while. The same goes for FEAR. It was a good game when it came out originally but it can't be considered in the same light so long after. I think motorstorm and lair are better candidates since they are actually new games.

The PS3 already has a number of 9 rated games just not on GS. So I think the title may have been written as "First PS3 game to reach a 9.0 and above score on GS"

From GS? Uhhh... probably, never. Jk! Uhh.. score really doesn't matter at all.
How long did it take the 360 and Wii to get game review scores in the 9's or higher, and is there a chance that the PS3 might see game review scores in the 9's or higher sooner than it took the 360 and Wii to get scores that high.
I could see Heavenly Sword, or Lair being the first if they live up to the hype. As for MotorStorm, I highly doubt it will get a 9.0 or higher, with no split-screen it's going to hurt the score. I could see it getting somewherear 8.0-8.9 but I doubt it will get a 9.0 or higher.
I think Oblivion has the highest chance of getting a 9.0+ in March. I honestly am seriously starting to doubt Motorstorm will get AAA. Even though I refuse to hype another game publicly, since the catastrophe that was Resistance, I'll just say, Odds are, Motorstorm is going to get AA on GS. The first AAA? It's hard to say, with the complete randomness that Gamespot uses to rate their games, for all we know, flow could get AAA, and MGS4 could get a 6.4 because Snake is old, but it has great gameplay and great online.
Motorstorm has a good chance if online is solid, but i actually think the first game to get above a 9.0 will be Lair or Warhawk. I know warhawk has some bad rumors flying around it (pardon the pun), it is my most anticipated game for 07 along with motorstorm and hopefully devil may cry 4.
