Ok, without sounding like a NooB. What is Folding@home. I've got it on my dashboard but I just ignore it lol-James-
Here is the stats page were you can see how many TFOLPSÂ the PS3 can process compared to PC's,Linux,Mac... etc

sadly less people are doing it. only 22,000+ ps3s are signed up right now. i dont know whats going on, but i wish they'd have more users on there, mine is running rite nowprogenitorvirusIn another month those numbers will get less and less. Right now about 0.7% of PS3 owners are actually using this and sadly the numbers will continue to decrease.
Because it's a fad that people are growing tired of, just like when it was first introduced for PC's. When the PC version started up people jumped on it with great fervor, but after a while the novelty faded. It's a noble cause, for sure. But people just don't stay committed to things that are abstracted from them. Seeing a fancy animation and a counter going up just isn't enough reward for most people.
I don't own a PS3, 360 owner here, but wouldn't it be cool to get a trophy for doing this folding at home thing. I don't know exactly how it works, saw a video podcast on 1up and thought it was pretty cool. I don't know about leaving any system on all night, makes me afraid of putting any more wear and tear on the system, but a Trophy for your systems services would be pretty cool to get.
what do you guys think?
I'm pretty sure more people would do the folding at home if they got something for their participation, a tropy won't change your life, but these Trophies and Achievements are a cool addition to our video gaming, or pursuit for a cure for a disease.

It would be pretty cool, like a cancer awareness ribbon of sorts. I bet they could or may do something when HOME hits.
