It's a fun game I loved it. I loved how you also used the sixaxis in it.jakaraiYeah, it's got the best use of the SIXAXIS feature in my opinion.

hated it.
Black-October
That's really a shame.
why?
it wasn't that great. in fact, it just wasn't good.
if you like it then more power to you. go enjoy your game.
no reason to have shame for someone elses opinion about a game. just not my cup of tea
I didn't like it that much, although it really had potential.
The graphics are wonderful, I really loved the art direction. Also the unique story and characters were superb, the whole irish folclore theme was really special. I was disappointed with the gameplay however, the pokemon collection got boring after a while and the fact that you had to do all the areas twice was also a cheap way to extend the game. I was also disappointed in the cut scenes, the graphics looked so pretty, it was really a shame that they didn't use them in full motion.
But I still hope for a sequel in which they make the gameplay/collecting a little more varied or interesting. I wouldn't mind a turn based style (sorry, I just love japanese rpg's) and they should make the game a more cinematic experience. The whole style and theme is superb though, no changes needed in that department.

I loved the fact that each folk had it's own backstory and the little snippets of info really added a nice touch. I enjoyed the style of the cutscenes, the comic-book style really suited the story and the full cutscenes looked great. This is without a doubt the best use of six-axis I've seen in any game so far. I'm still hoping for a sequel! :)
I recently bought Folklore as a game to keep me busy until Borderlands comes out. (Looks awesome, I can't wait! ) I bought it for about 10 quid and I was surprised at how good a game it was, The graphics are brilliant, the story is involving and the game-play so far has been great! I hadn't even heard of this game before. Whats everyone else's opinion on this game?Henwyneh
I totally agree! I actually got it £5 not long after it had been released, and what a fantastic game. Also uses the SIXAXIS controls exellently.
Very under appreciated game, it has great, stylish artwork and visuals, good story, fun gameplay.
It's one of the best use of Sixaxis controls I came across.
Excellent game.
I thought it was brilliant, loved every minute of it, would like to see a sequel but somehow don't think it's gunna happen.
How did you use Sixaxis in it?
NoobisMaxcimus
You use it to capture folks "ID" - their souls, which are extremely important and influence the gameplay directly. You also use it in unique way to fight bosses.
You tilt the controller at proper time in different direction, it's very well done.
The game deserves more praise and recognition then it received from majority of reviewers. IGN was probably the only website that got it right, then again, there aren't many gaming websites left that appreciate games like Folklore.
It's all about shooting. killing, big explosions.. ah why do I even bother..
