You have to go to the Otherworld version of the level via a mirror in order to pick up the key, if I'm remembering it right. Silent-Hal

Yep. The drain doesn't have a grate after you pass through..

Might I suggest that Survival Horror may not be "your thing"? Dude, if a little thing like that gets you all revved up then boss battles and ACTUAL puzzles are really gonna bring you down. Relax...

Did you flush the empty toilet in the normal world bathroom? That moves the key all the way through the pipes. Then you can pick it up from the drain in the otherworld.
