Does Sony give you a treat for doing this, like giving you points or something like that? BTW I'm at 13% of completing 1 Work Unit.
One last question, will keeping my PS3 on overnight hurt it for using it for the fold @ home project?

I'm getting 300 points per WU. Just keep it well ventilated, mine is running right now i'm keeping it on all night.X360PS3AMD05
What are can those 300 points be used for?
Bingo. You get nothing at all for doing this. Just like you get nothing back for putting a buck or two into the can that the bell ringing Santa Claus dudes have out during this holiday season other than the feeling that you've done something selfless.if your work unit cures cancer than your first in line to get the cure.
lol jk, you dont really get anything, the points are just so if you look online they can measure your contributions. its charity you dont get anything in return.

I have a little over 300 units complete and if you join a team you get a chance of being in the leader board. Also a while back the project broke a world record of computing power with the number of PS3's folding at one time. But the main thing is the project could help you or some loved one in the future with a severe disease.jimm895
finally, someone with some sense. the whole "what do i get out of it" mentality is really whats wrong with current generations. go volunteer or something...stop taking without giving too. if you won't do that, at least leave your ps3 on and help to someday cure cancer.
