For those of you with the 360 and the ps3

Just a quick ? I currently have a 360 and love it, but I also want a ps3 for the games that are not on the 360 you know the best of both worlds.. Well to my question for those of you with both systems how hard is it to switch from one controller to the next?

It's very easy, im used to the ps3 controller, but my honest opinion is i much rather prefer the 360 controller it feels better, but mainly because of the triggers, the 360 triggers are great for shooters and racing games, sixaxis also have triggers but try using them on gt:hd they dont register slight presses at all, if you slightly push it in it goes full throttle and its essential for simulation racers you can apply different amounts of presure for braking and accelerating im hoping in gt5 polyphony fix that.

Its definitly great enjoying the best of both worlds, and really to enjoy all the best next gen games over the next several years you need a ps3 and 360 so its definitly a good option, i can adapt to any controller very quickly, i dont think you will have any problem with that especially if you have owned a ps1 or ps2.

First thing i notice is how the 360 just seems to fit perfectly in my hand.While the PS3 is a little small and is very light.Kinda feel slike a toy after 14 hours of R6V on 360 then switching to F1 on PS3.But over all its not hard when you fall in love with one though your just grab the other one and go MEH.bboycookie2

Yeah thats another thing i sometimes find myself gripping the ps3 controller and my hands hurt after awhile ive had this problem for 10+ years and just thought it was me untill i got the 360 it does just lie comfortably in your hand.

And lack of rumble is a bummer buts its coming back and the new sixaxis shouls have more weight to it with rumble in it so it wont feel like a fisher price toy.

The ps3 controller does have a much better d-pad if your into fighting games, 360's d-pad is shocking although i never use it for anything major.

Both pads are easy to use and jump between but I prefer the Dualshock/SIXAXIS.. especially for fighting games, I find the 360 ABXY and shoulder buttons too bulky for that quick response needed.

ps3 controller is nicer, you don't have to replace any batteries, and it holds charge pretty well. its a nice trade off for rumble, even though the newer ps3's should start to come with rumble soon.

i like it better. the dualshock design + bluetooth wireless makes arguably the best controller on the planet once the rumble is back in.

The PS3 controller is just like the other various PS controllers. You might have to get used to where the left thumbstick is on both, but it should come like second nature. There's even a PS button that has the same basic function as the 360 button.

While I do miss rumble, it's nice to have the PS3 controller feel so light. There's no heavy battery pack like with the 360 controller.

Not hard at all...the 360 controller just feels like a over weight PS3 controller. lol

comfortable trigger buttons, some may think it feels cheap or hands may slide

light good for long gaming hours

analog sticks should be like 360's sometimes my hands bump in fpses (it's funny since the ps2 controllers have analog sticks spaced differently yet at the same length and it feels great for shooters)

It doesnt take long to get used to playing with both.

I just wish the L2 and R2 were designed a little better cause my finger slips of the gas when playing Motor-storm and it gets kinda uncomfortable.

The same as it was last gen... Both very different and have different positive qualities, so for me the controller doesn't really affect the games at all.Caveman626

i agree 100%, both systems are awesome, but the thing i really like about the 360 controllers are the analog sticks, they feel tighter, not as loose as the ps3.
