Do we even know how much access they've had. They could get in there, copy as much of our info as they can they scram right out before anyone noticed. Why is no one worrying about this? Any access hackers gain into a system were cash is exchanged can be deadly.

Hmmm. Good point, I don't use credit cards on PSN, was planning to, but these hackers could just access them.

They are safe. CC info is stored on your system, not on the servers.

My card got hacked the other day. Luckily the bank spotted it, stopped that card, gave me a new one and refunded my money. Still trying to figure out where the hacker could've gotten my info but I guess it wasn'tthrough my PS3.

There are so many places this could happen if you go out to eat and they take your card with camera phones these days it takes seconds to pic both sides to nave number and the CC number in the back. I pay for identity protection and my bank is Top notch plus i have alerts for anything over a certain amount gets charged whether i do it or not

Are PSN cards only available in North America, or elsewhere in the world, just I'd like to swap to using that method rather than using my CC details.

I believe them, honest, I could give my opinion on Anonymous nut I'd be banned for excessive use of bad language, suffice to say all I will say is that I for one do not agree with their beliefs or the tactics they use to enforce those beliefs on companies they mistakenly believe to be as bad as they claim.

Well I guess now we can throw out all of these responsesv now. Thanks once again internet experts for telling us the completely wrong information in a smug and confident tone to make it sound like you know something ... which you don't.

Um... http://uk.playstation.com/home/news/articles/detail/item369506/PSN-Qriocity-Service-Update/ "Although we are still investigating the details of this incident, we believe that an unauthorized person has obtained the following information that you provided: name, address (city, state/province, zip or postal code), country, email address, birthdate, PlayStation Network/Qriocity passwords and login and handle/PSN online ID. It is also possible that your profile data, including purchase history and billing address (city, state, zip), and your PlayStation Network/Qriocity password security answers may have been obtained. If you have authorized a sub-account for your dependent, the same data with respect to your dependent may have been obtained. While there is no evidence that credit card data was taken at this time, we cannot rule out the possibility. If you have provided your credit card data through PlayStation Network or Qriocity, to be on the safe side we are advising that your credit card number (excluding security code) and expiration date may also have been obtained."
