Franchises you're attached to

Do you have any game series you really are attached to in some way, like the story and setting? The first time it happened to me was in Resistance Fall of Man. I anticipated the sequel so much, and when it came (a time when I was already used to hardcore shooters like Call of Duty) its gameplay was much refined, much more like a true, hardcore, modern shooter, and the story took on a much grimmer approach than its predecessor. Now I anticipate R3, after reading all the documents and getting as much info on this very believable world Insomniac crafted.

Starfox but I've been waiting 13 years for a finish in the main trilogy.

Final Fantasy (not so much anymore after it's new direction, but keep to the old ones)

Recently I would say..

Fallout (via Fallout 3)

The Elder Scrolls (via Oblivion)

God Of War (waiting for a price drop on #3 though)

Castlevania (didn't care until I got the DS versions..)

For me: Metal Gear Series, inFAMOUS, Uncharted, Resistance, Killzone, God of War, Gears of War, R&C Future series.

I forgot to mention Monster Hunter and Call of Duty. Been there for CoD since CoD 4 and recently played through Big Red One. Treyarch is definitely the better developer.

Mass Effect - Since renting #1 for the first time I've been a fan and beaten them both. I'll definitley play ME2 when it comes out for PS3.

Half-Life - Slooowly fading away because of the lack of half-lifelessness.

Resistance - Just got into it after beating R2 for the 2nd time and reading some info on R3

Grand Theft Auto - Fan of them all (Especially San-Andreas and IV)

Fallout - Nuff said.

Bioshock -Rapture is quite simply the best game universe I've ever stepped into, and I love the whole storyline.

Resident Evil still the number one, even though I'm not a big fan of the direction the series took with RE4. I just hope we can get the (real) zombies and survivor horror back on their so-called reboot of the series with RE6.

Left4Dead and Call of Duty. I will buy any game released in either franchise without hesitation. If there's a new entry coming out in either franchise, it's easily my most anticipated game.

Metal Gear Solid - By far the greatest storyline I've ever seen in a game or any other form of entertainment. MGS4 was probably my most anticipated game of all time, I was insanely hyped for that game to the point where I thought I might be overhyping it. Hell, I even bought a PS3 mainly so I could play MGS4 and it blew every expectation out of the water. To say I was left speechless would be a massive understatement.

Resident Evil - This is tied with MGS as my favorite game series. People say RE4 took the series in a bad direction, no, that would be RE5! RE4 revolutionized third person shooters yet was still able to maintain an atmosphere that is still better than any survival horror game to date. Besides, by the time RE4 came out, the series needed a revitalization badly! Of course, I love the old RE games even though I started on RE4. RE2 and the REmake are my two other favorites in the series.

Other series I love include: GTA, Legend of Zelda, Mario, and Final Fantasy to an extent but I guess because I also like the new ones, I'm not a "real" fan, right?:roll:

Assassin's Creed series and Uncharted series.
